last time i checked the bigger the resolution, the bigger the pixels blur/pixelate on a texture (depending on the system).

no matter if you upscale N64 games to 4k, they still look like shit. Actually for a PlayStation/n64 game to look good it needs a CRT screen with interleaved pixels.

I don't need to check dolphin at 1080p i've already seen diablo 3 upscaled at 4k and there's no difference between 4k and 1080, texturewise, on the contrary it becomes more apparent where the details are failing and furthermore, the frames per second just plainly drop to "unplayable".

yeah, a single screen could look "glorious" on 4k. but those games were ment to be played at constant 30fps on 480i/480p hardware.

now you try go upscale diablo ii to 1080p and see how playable that is.

@ZombieGuy78 You might want to check the graphics for 1080p on dolphin your self before you call it blurryness hell. It looks pretty damn good. ofc, the remastered will be better in some ways, but it still looks really clean and sharp on dolphin in HD.

Both Commodore and Atari were business leading giants when it came to home computer gaming. Both had multiple consoles and successful home computers and now they're both gone and hardly anyone remembers. It's cute how some think Nintendo are invincible.

@PosiTVEMinD355 Actually they had around 11 consoles, and computer-console hybryds, AND computers. They weren't iconic for you because they didn't fight anyone, sega and nintendo fought fiercely for 10 years, just the same as sony is fighting Microsoft this days. They are still making games. And yes, they suck. But so do some of the latest sega games. The only Sonic games that are alive are the saturn and génesis on the virtual console.

@ZombieGuy78 @Sword-Demon @dirtysancez You're comparing Atari to Sega? Atari was one of the first consoles, yea but it was no where near as iconic as Nintendo and Sega. As long as Sonic stays alive, which i'm betting he always will, people will always know Sega. Atari died a long time ago after their first console. Even when they were making games there were barely any good ones.

@dirtysancez @n0xinab0x What a ridiculous and stupid comparison. Flagship Ferraris sell for at least 10x the price of Corrolas. Whereas Wiis sold for about 2/3 the price of 360s and PS3s initially. If your everyday regular parent could afford a 4 seater Ferrari you better believe they would buy it regardless of practicality.

@n0xinab0x @dirtysancez Well, you can but you'll most likely lose your license for awhile. There are some places in the midwest though where there are no speed limits and higher death rates where you can enjoy the full power of a Ferrari.

@dirtysancez @n0xinab0x agreed, no gimmick needed. Besides in the US, what's the point of having a Ferrari? It's not like you can drive 150 mph on the highway anyway, right?
