@superior91 @Dannystaples14 @ECH71 Not a very good analogy there buddy. F1 cars are directly built to compete and win. Sure, MS and Sony are in competition, but that isn't the sole purpose of building a console, it is to provide a system of entertainment. I'd love 60 FPS and 1080p all the time, but it isn't a huge difference. The games and the controller are the most valuable aspect of a game, and considering Ryse is the best looking game to date, Sony don't have too much of a leg to stand on. Killzone looks amazing as well, but it is boring as hell, and because shooters have been done to death, they don't have an excuse for releasing such a sub-mediocre game. Given that the Xbox is still new, 1080, 60fps will probably be the norm anyway.

MS cop way too much flak, and here's why. Security issues, graphical issues and terrible controls are all apart of PS history. Why didn't Sony cop any shit for having a more powerful console with games that ran WORSE than all of the other systems? Not like they had the exclusives to make up for it (except for the Last of Us). Having spent a great deal of time with Dualshock 3, I can say that the Xbox controller wipes the floor with it, hands down. It's much more ergonomic and feels like it was designed to be played by a set of hands, as opposed to a flimsy piece of plastic with buttons on it. It seems like the cool, 'safe' thing to do nowdays is to ignorantly hate on MS. Xbox got it right on day one, whilst Dualshock always felt terrible. There was no excuse to continue the exact same controller from PS1 to PS2 (let alone to PS3). Also, remember the online hacking issue?? Hmm....People used to bitch and complain about Xbox live costing 50 bucks a year to use. Now, PS online also costs money! No one seems to be complaining though.

I've played BF4 on both new consoles, and I did not see a difference, both were fun, and congrats to Sony for FINALLY changing their controller, which is much better, though still not as good as what Xbox offer. If you're going to bitch about power, get a PC. Both consoles are powerful, though Xbox has the edge with it's controller and exclusives...which is what a console is all about. Considering how good the games look now, they will only get better looking. And considering Xbox has Halo, Titanfall and Gears, the battle is well and truly over. Can't speak for the long term future, though I'd still wager that Xbox will come out on top.

Stupid PS fanboys should just shut up and continue to play their slightly prettier, dull games .

@neroist @superior91 I'd rather take a game that looked like a PS1 game, and had a great story, and great gameplay and great AI, than a game that looks pretty.

They can shove their graphics and frames per second. As long as the games are fun, that is the platform I will play.

I think people's obsession with graphics is the reason we have hardly seen any games with a decent story and which is super fun to play for the last six years. Many games have one aspect that is done well. Most of them fail in more ways than they excel.

I mean take Bioshock Infinite. The story is awesome, the atmosphere is awesome. The game flows and weaves in an intricate way. Yet the combat was largely underwhelming. Sure flying around on the skylines was epic, but that only lasts so long really. Great in many ways, poor in others.

@superior91@ECH71 Hmm technically your metaphor doesn't work. If you compare this to F1, what PS4 are doing are what Ferrari did ages ago. Make the best car they can and destroy everyone else regardless of their skill. In this metaphor skill is the games running on it. Schumacher or however you spell his name won so many times in a row because Ferrari are great at making cars. As soon as they limited the car engine sizes and variable spoilers the other drivers suddenly had an equal playing field. And since Schumacher came back out of retirement he hasn't won all that many races.

And the reason that metaphor doesn't work is because even if the power of the Xbox One is less than the PS4, the games are still tops which means if you ignore exclusives the power in the PS4 will be largely redundant since they will make all exclusives for the lower power system and the port it onto PS4. The exclusives on PS4 will no doubt look very nice. But 90% of all games are multi platform. No developer will ever make a game on Xbox One and then spend time and hence money which they don't have making the graphics better on PS4. It just won't happen. Why do you think it often takes longer for games to come out on PC? Because it takes them time to increase the graphics for the platform. And that is why many games never reach PC at all. GTA V come out on PC yet? No didn't think so.

Why do you think PC gaming is so shit? They have tonnes of power and many games but a lot of those games are shitty RTS, and indie titles and Early Access. I don't give a shit how much power the system has it is all about the games. If power was so important PC would be the ONLY system that people would play but it just isn't.

I see a slight difference between 720 and 1080 as well but that is all it is, SLIGHT. Not enough of a difference to justify buying a PS4 with its shitty network and stupid fanboys.

60fps is nice and smooth sure. I'll take 60fps over 1080p, but again I was having tonnes of fun in Assassin's Creed IV yesterday at 30fps and I can't see how having it at 60fps would have greatly enhanced that fun.

PS4 exclusives are largely shit so far from what I can see. Killzone, looks nice but is boring as hell. Infamous, just some arrogant prick in a beanie. The rest of the stuff we have barely seen anything of.

At least Quantum Break looks different, and looks like it is trying something new. Ignoring the TV stuff that is. That is just lame.

Just goes to show what mentality you PC gamers really have doesn't it? It is all about the power. To hell with games this month I'm saving up for a new GPU. Fucking losers. You know it is bad when you will actually ridicule people on the same platform simply for their system specs like I see on Steam a lot.

@superior91 I'm a PC gamer with a very nice rig. But to get 1080 at 60 FPS on the $90 Jaguar APU from AMD that both consoles use. They will have to drop other things like AA, lighting effects, shadows, etc... There are a lot of corners to cut to get that new magic number that will actually hurt the game in other areas.

If you want 1080 at 60 FPS with effects buy a nice PC. If you bought a console with a $90 APU (GPU and CPU together for $90). Don't except 1080 at 60 FPS without loses out on other things.

@Findy37564 @RicanV Keep your PS3. The $100 you get from trading it in can only be used as a discount for the Xbox One, as far as I know.
