Only here at GameSpot is paying a compliment creepy. A lot of people here at GameSpot probably spent their whole lives playing video games and trading posts with other socially bred ignorant gamers here at GameSpot.

Paying a compliment is not creepy in the rest of the world. It welcome. Most people enjoy being complimented outside of GameSpot.

I'm sure if your boss and co-workers complimented you, you would appreciate it.

There was nothing creepy about your comments. Your comments were very benign. I would have been flattered. Every comment I've every made, I've said in real life and other website and they are taken positively as they were meant to be. Of course, I had rapport with the woman and she knew me too.
