Maybe a competition is in order: have Lucy do a show in a flat Midwestern American accent, then Chris a show in an Aussie accent, then Jess in a British accent. The one who can keep it going the longest gets some sort of prize.

its ok for a guy from the U.S.A to not have a SEXY accent, i mean look at what you can draw from. : southern drawl ( it varies from east new Orleans to Texas in the west) or how about the new england states, and well there's not much in between as far as SEXY accents go but then hey i'm from canada and other then saying "eh" alot we got nothing either unless you count newfoundland.

oh but wouldn't it be cool to try a decipher the accent from someone from the wee tip of the boot :)

What is it about Minecraft that a lot of people seem to complain about it, or to show any gratitude towards Sony deciding against it?

Did they assume that it'll be in 1080p?

I'm a gamer on all ends of the spectrum (Xbox, PlayStation, PC) and I never align myself with either particular method of playing video games, but I am seriously disappointed in Sony for deciding against it.

@IXIVeritasIXI Failing certification doesn't necessarily mean much, I wouldn't label it as Sony deciding against it, it sounds more harsh that way :).


One example, I remember a game once failed Xbox 360 cert because they had not handled loss of internet connection in accordance with MS' guidelines.

@IXIVeritasIXI I think it's good to have some quality control unless you want to become S*T*E*A*M as it is now.

Kudos for calling a bad port. And I also have all the machines that can be used to play Minecraft though I don't like the game. A crap port is a crap port no matter the platform and they didn't decide against it, they wanted them to fix the bugs and resubmit it.

@Pilkkari : I enjoy the game. It's entertaining enough that even my son and I can actually build stuff together all the time. It has it's moments with me.

I just hate how some people on other forms of social media are saying, "Gah! I wish Minecraft would go away!" Truthfully, I feel that VERY same way about sports games. It just comes back to the old adage; if you aren't in this game at all, why bother talking about it to begin with?


Funny thing is, a lot of those people come off as someone who do spend $60 on sports games. They're ridiculous. Update a few stats, add a new feature or two, and then let's repackage it and sell it as a brand new game! I hate scams.

@IXIVeritasIXI @Pilkkari I appreciate that you like the game with your son, but it is another company (aside from the original developer) doing the port. What if the multiplayer was broken or the world was not in sync. If you and your son played a game that wasn't in sync and had problems would you be happy and glad? Methinks not, Another thing is people that buy yearly updates on sportsgames, but that does now apply here. And just to set the record straight, I like Legos, I like games, I don't like sports games that much and I don't like Minacraft. I like RPG's and platformers and such.

@vadagar1 Minecraft can be played many many different ways, and a lot of those ways have little to do with intelligence :).


People just love to throw intelligence around as an insult. Personally I've never really understood why others think intelligence is such a great way to judge people in an overall sense.

I do both: Consoles and my custom-built PC. I refuse to take sides on a pointless and completely inane argument.

We're all gamers. United under one flag, for one passion. Why ruin that? Why should every 'master gaming race' attempt to ruin that?

The blight of the PC gamer elitism has just became more prominent due to the next-gen consoles and how underpowered they are. It's funny I come to gamespot for news only, for reviews and other stuff I go to other sites. So maybe the future of the site is on news? Also Minecraft sucks anyway and so does COD.
And Behemoth's games have made me laugh out loud eventhough I don't like the styles of games they have covered so far.

@Chris_Watters I've always felt that many GS videos which specifically refer to articles should have a small section below them with the links. Videos are usually for a quick fix, but as in Starship Troopers, it'd be nice to have that convenience for those who would like to know more.
