Blizzard's reputation has gone down hill big time. I will think twice before I buy anything from Blizzard ever again - after Diablo 3.
Although I don't like what WOW has become in regards to skills and every class being nearly indentical now, I still say it's the best MMO and one of my favorite games of all time, that's 40 years of gaming. I enjoyed MOP, and am still enjoying it. I actually am having fun doing quests, the monk class is a blast, there is nothing bad I can say about MOP except the monthly fee and the slimdowned talent trees. I love the fact that this expansion has sold this many, considering all the GW2 fanboys that were claiming they didn't sell more then 600,000, and if that was so, then this game must have gotten a good response from those and spread the word to make another 2.1 million get the game in the first week. Good job Blizz, and I agree with el Greco, wrap this up, make it f2p, and start on WOW4 already lol.
@terminus GW2 owns this mind-numbing crap. And this is coming from a WoW veteran, not a "GW2 fanboy", WoW fanboy.
@yasso @terminus GW2 is great, but they have a terrible end game. No raids, and in my personal opinion I like Wow's PVP better. I will agree that the leveling experience in GW2 is far superior, and the graphics are obviously amazing. But, that's about where it ends. WIth no raids, and a PVP system that is more a clusterfuck than anything, WoW is still better.
So the peak of most sales at release was Cataclysm... I think it's inevitable for sales to keep sloping downward with each expansion from now... unless Blizzard does something truly revolutionary with the game, or at least offer some content that would get people excited as much as Burning Crusade and Lich King did... If I were Blizzard, I would try to wrap up WoW and just start Warcraft IV. Rekindle that old essence, get back to Warcraft's roots. Make Warcraft a respectable, epic franchise again... But I don't see them doing that. They got Activision to please... investors to keep happy. At the same time, it's also kind of difficult to put this monster away after they created it.
@_el_Greco_ Blizzard is fading away, slowly but surely, and I predict, will fall in a shockingly sudden manner one day. Most of the good people in the company have already left anyway, and only scumbags are left. It'll be good to see them falling with it in their boundless arrogance.
