@terrain600 Coming from the guy that kept coming back to make the same (wrong) point over and over. I was correcting you because it pains me to see human beings so adament they are right while making a fool of themselves.
@TommyT456 Whatever man,You didnt have to write a long essay just to prove your point. it's not a life or death thing. relax.
@terrain600 The only thing that is "straight forward and obvious" is that you're making yourself sound stupid. Fred 5107 is right, what you have said is an opinion! Many people may agree with you but a preference or viewing something as better than something else is an opinion, end of. If someone hates arcade racers but loves tuning cars and realism then they would clearly view gran turismo as better and more interesting. Dont bother writing back if you're just going to say the same thing again, save yourself the embarrassement.
@Fred5107 huhn? :S i won't even argue with you. You're letting this ''Opinion'' thingy get into you. This is the fact, GT5's more realistic than NFS Hot Pursuit, But NFS is better and more interesting. It's not my opinion. it's straight forward and obvious. dahm. So don't give me lectures explaining what opinion is.
@terrain600 I don't need to, that is an opinion, look up the definition of "opinion" if you want to be clear. No matter what the cause, saying something is better than another is an opinion.
KMT. Yea this game is the most realistic racer but NFS Hot Pursuit is better and more interesting than this. Not an opinion, a fact.
@reanor2 i play GT5 on a 32" HDTV. The graphics are good, no doubt about it but there are other racing games out there that impress me more than GT5. And for a game in production for 7 years i expected alot more.
You don't get impressed with GT5 by watching low quality videos. You get impressed by playing it from Playseat with GT wheel on it on 65" HDTV - THATS how you impresse yourself. And GT5 deserves all that.
@trollkind: What makes this challenge tough, at least in my opinion, is that you're instantly disqualified if you hit any of the barriers. You can get away with grazing them, but it took me several attempts to beat this particular challenge.
you know... I was the hugest GT fan before Grid and Dirt 1 and 2 came out. With all these years of waiting for GT to come out I was expecting a revolutionized GT in every sense. Sue they added cockpit view and ¨some¨ damage but let´s face it... the new GT is Grid and Dirt (1&2), hell... even the music is better on these games than on GT. So, Polyphony Digital, yeah they were the standards for racing games but the new Polyphony Digital by far is Codemasters, excellent in every way. Lets wait for Grid 2 and Dirt 3. It´ll just takes them like 1 year to make each game whilst GT took 3 1/2 years to make this POS which I can only see it´s teh same thing. ohhh and another feature that was added to GT is Ferrari, woop dee doo. big deal. PD is such a dissapointment. Now, this doesnt mean I wont buy the game cuz I want them all. My comment is just my opinion not to bother anyone else.
I think IGN's review complained about minor things. I think a newcomer or fan won't mind if only 200 out of 1000 have realistic or any damage when you crash. I will have this on my list.
I was initially intimidated by the tight finish time group but if that driving is silver, I guess I'll be ok. Underwhelmed and disappointed? Should only happen if you don't expect Gran Turismo to still be Gran Turismo. The sticky "behind" camera is a pain though, I hope they get back to the GT PSP version or at least make that an option.
@peon_frenzy at the time i first saw this it was described drift challenge, now of course they already corrected the name.
I have a feeling there are going to be a lot of disappointed and upset ps3 owners later on today. I sure hope I'm wrong though!!
@gibb1 I am missing your point...It says Rally Challenge Gameplay Movie. Of course it isn't drift racing
