yeah i used to use the buttons too but because they took them out i switched over. once you get the hang of it, its actually a lot more fluid, and with the added punches now there's options for more varied combos. buttons would be great but they dont really fit. the players using the buttons would have a disadvantage. unles they took away the added punches, but taking away is bad. i dont know, i think people will get used to it
@shoelaces-4- I was mad about the button thing first but then i got used to the stick and ur right now i Know y they took it out
Game looks really good, the graphics are something awesome and it plays really smooth. The only thing i dislike is the fact EA have taken out the buttons and made analog only, i do enjoy playing with analog but also like the choice of buttons.
ummm there are over 20 punches.. theyve added some and thats one among many reasons that you cant use face buttons. once you learn the analog controls stringing together combos of every nature will come easily. they chose to make it on the stick because it is absolutely the best and most fluid control scheme. most games dont allow for complete control customization and theres a reason for that. Also, EA is really trying to take controls to a realistic and logical position, its the same thing they did for Skate/Skate 2. They mapped the controls realisticly to the analog and face buttons to actually reflect what your character is doing. Im sorry but it makes the most sense to have them there so you might just have to learn how to use em.
EA sports is removing the button controls feature and only using analog controls for Fight Night Round 4 I like to play games with button controls EA sports is risking their sales by not allowing us to change the control schemes to buttons and not analog. I LOVE THE FIGHT NIGHT GAMES i can use total punch control and buttons. i can do both well but i want the freedom to choose which one i want to do
How much further can gaming go?? I mean woah, this looks really well done. I'm impressed by the concept of glancing blows, both being able to visually represent them in animations and mathematically calculate the damage they cause. 3 cheers for modern game development. Hip hip!
one of the best game upgrades yet this game has alot of improvements since round 3 and the graphics is juss crazy so realistic the gameplay looks nice and the variation in fighters is awesome too bad to mayweather though but they got tyson so im coo wit that!
I picked up the Demo from my local Gamestop and I dont know if you guys know, but Game Face will be in this version. In the Demo you are able to fight with Manny P. and Ricky Hatton. You get three rounds only. It also shows you all 48 fighters in the game. No Pretty Boy though. The Demo last for two weeks. I got one for the PS3 and 360. I Pre- Ordered for both.
so the producers repeated themselves to waste some video time by talking about the ringside action alot. ill let it slide because this game looks so f@*#ing sick in everyway, truely above and beyond round 3. does anybody else have a draw dropping problem when they see the fighters muscle's realisticly flex when throwing a punch? insanely awesome...sure its a small. almost, unnoticable visual touch that might not be recognized if the developers hadn't shown us here...but its still sick and all the little things that count usually add up to create a great game in more cases than one...(bioshock, mass effect, half-life 1 and 2, fight night round 3) small details can make or break an immersion factor when creating a believable world or drawing you in
Oh spartan... What does that have to do with anything.. as if they cant fight... just lower weight classes.... too bad for them its genetics... so they dont stand out like the higher weight classes.
All this cosmetic stuff looks and sounds great.... but I really hope the AI is improved for FN4 and plays REAL! I also hope we will be able to see and feel the impact of big punches that land. In other words I hope the punches have some 'Weight' to them when you dodge a punch and come back with a BOMB that lands. Hopefully the Big Shots that land look, feel and register with the AI like they should in a savvy boxing game.
