Looks good but a friend told me he had done the main story in 5-6 hours sooo... im not sure its worth the money untill it gets to at least $40
I love Fable and the Fable series, but the one thing that rubs me the wrong way with this game is the whole holding hands things? Idk it seems kinda odd to me, but ill still be buying this game!
this will be a gay game just watch the trailer and ull see that the holding hands persist in a long shot...jesus i hope they change that or no buying from this side
LOL "I challenge you to a duel", from what I've heard in-game the insults sound suspiciously like the secret of monkey island "You fight like a dairy farmer" "How appropriate you fight like a cow!"
This looks awesome. One thing that really annoyed me about Fable II was that one couldn't customise the character. For such an "open" game, there is very little customisation available. It would also be great if it was possible to have a wider variety of clothing. I'm hoping this game improves that. I'm 100% sure this will be one of the games of the year, however.
the only good rpgs i'v played are by bethesda i have only played 4 other rpg's but with fable coming to the PC i'm defently considering it
Fable Thweeeeeeee looks sweet! Just hope there are no glitches or at least less of them or just ones we don't really notice. Let us pray fellow Fablenites!
The one major thing that this Fable needs is more veriety of faces and voices. If they had a random character face generation when villages spawn (AND you could give them clothes that they would actually wear), it would make it more interesting to interact with villagers and your wife/husband. Also, I heard they have tons of voice actors for this one compared to the last, but they need to use more than 3 voices for all the villager women, and 3 for the villager men. They need more like 20 different voices for each sex.
Certainly getting this one, realy looking great just wish their were more gameplay videos. that arent in the dark and with wolves in them.
This game looks amazing! But I do see some glitches, that they hopefully fix. Because I'm seeing people walking through walls, and when the character held that guys hand (kinda weird), he was glitching everywhere. But yeah, looks really good! Hopefully can fix everything by Oct 26, 2010. I can't wait!
@reign_six6six Couldn't have put it better myself! My one and only blog tries to address this problem, check it out man!
oh my goooooooooooosh!!! when i first played the original fable, i knew this was what it was missing.....peter molyneux, if only u passed on your godlike abilities to your games.
I like the holding hands feature because if they get scared they can't run away because your guy starts to pull on them.
you guys make me laugh. this is one of the best franchises ever. you guys are so jaded. its always want want want. do you actually realize what it takes to make a game? do you have any idea how amazing they are? and all you can do is ask for more instead of being blown away by the technology we have these days
i played Fable 2 demo and i liked the atmosphere a lot , also the british accented voice acting and the music had undeniable charm , too bad my xbox360 is dead :( , but i will buy fable 3 as soon as i get my hands on one of these xbox slim.
The_Infused Posted Jul 25, 2010 5:17 am GMT Every one says the holding hands feature is gay I see nothing gay about forcing someone to the temple of shadows and killing them.
The quest trail seems to be slow as always.. I remember out running it in Fable 2 so i couldn't see where to go. That was very annoying. But it still looks quite cool. I will buy it no matter what.
I loved the original Fable, and I say original because Fable 2 didn't pull me in as the first did and honestly made me sad, but I would be lying if I said this looks like a true 3rd addition to the series.
Too bad really !! Holding hands ? Farting in someones face ? Really childish, I remember when the first Fable game was a breakthrough back then as much as Black&White did but just as the second game destroyed that franchise this one look to do the same to Fable. Oh well back to real developers like Blizzard, Bioware and Obsidian.
the blue hat, why do you assume the only 'touch' mechanic is holding hands? there are many different ways to touch people in the game, it has already been explained. you're condemning a game before you even have a chance to play it. obviously they're going to fix as many problems from Fable II as they can. Don't knock it until you've tried it. you will be able to grab someone and scare the sh*t out of them. i actually hope they take it out just to piss you off. No one will lose any sleep if you don't like the game. it will sell millions, regardless.
Perhaps it's just me... but if you're going to implement a "hand holding" mechanic in a game with "good or evil" character choices, it shouldn't be hold hands for a villainous character, more like "grab the guys coat and scare the sh*t out of him"... The potential for a decent game is definitely there, but after Fable ll I just don't have any faith in Mr. Molyneux or Lionhead anymore. They need more complex fight mechanics, better selection/implementaion of magic spells and better method of implementing the "hand holding" gimmick (like i mentioned above). Also, those glitches had better be ironed as smooth as a pair of silk boxers by the time the game gets in to my hands, or im gonna be royally pissed.
@CEMETARY_GATESx really...elder scrolls V i can garuntee we wont see that for at least another 3 years with bethseda still working on brink and a list of other games and with it not even being offically announced yet your gonna have a long ass wait
I've bought every fable so far.. I don't see why I should stop now. Especially with this one coming on PC, unlike the second one. Sure it's still the same game with one new big feature... But whatever. Almost all games play the same in one way or another.
@Jeff-Ryan Thanks for reiterating what Molyneux said in an interview, I didn't understand what he was saying till now...
you have a very valid point...however, it's also really hard to recycle the same content and put a 60 dollar price tag on it.
People really have to stop complaining.. I think it looks like a great game, even if it may be a bit childish or a tiny bit glitchy, I think it will still be FUN, which is what matters. And bear in mind that the game is incomplete so most of these small small glitches will likely be ironed out. And yes, it really is that hard to make a great game to please everyone, you try it.
