It's amazing how sometimes consumers determine their purchase between a PS4 and Xbox One on whether they like Gran Turismo or Forza, I hope they don't port one or the other to either Console because this should be happening across the board.
Hate it when I love both of them, oh well just get one console and then get the other next year.
For those who are saying it "doesn't feel real", no racing game will feel real unless you sit in a simulator and inside a cockpit, then again that's not even close to being "real life".
This doesn't look good... seriously.. maybe i'm used to 4k-capable @ 60fps Project CARS and Assetto Corsa... both still in Alpha... already looks polished... just saying.
im honestly more than underwhelmed, this looks identical to xbox 360 forza , its almost hard to see a difference in fps here, and the track feels dead, no life to it.
ok lets go through this full screen, HD...
00.13 shocking levels of jaggies where white paint joins tarmac. This is an intro section with no car physics being calculated, no high speed graphics to render. Not good enough Turn 10.
00.20 Finally after a decade plus of asking in the forums, we have pit crew avatars.
1.02 highest rev sound loop glitch. this has plagued Forza since version 1. The sound samples at highest revs are simply too short and you can hear them bounce and loop.
1.36 sound balance is out of wack. At that speed at that view point the wind noise would be off the scale.
1.59 gear train noise climb is back but is subdued in comparison to other sounds. An enclosed race car with no sound deadening has astronomical amounts of gear and drive train noise.
2.15 graphics effects in general are a subtle evolution above those of current gen Forza 4. Not the ground breaking jump we saw from xbox to xbox 360.
2.44 Is this Forza 5 or Forza 4, I honestly can't tell the difference.
2.53 hilariously bad impact sound, no attempt to blend it into its environment. Sounds like it was recorded in a garage, not at speed.
I wonder if you can still move your head thru kinect like in F4. If it is I'm definitely getting it.
Once again, Forza 5 looks phenomenal. I'm extremely disappointed to hear about the lower car and track counts but in the end, I'm still looking forward to playing it.
@zeta Really? An old 9800GTX is quite able to handle Project CARS in its current state. The game doesn't look nearly as good as trailers crack it up to be.
For the better or worse, Forza is as good as it gets atm.
@haze0986 If you've played one, you've played them all. The only difference in the Forza games is the newer cars
@6orange9 Pretty much agree with all of that. It's the game that I would buy an Xbox One for but graphically it looks fairly average. What I'm seeing is just a general lack of detail (objects).. The maps look flat, desolate.
@blackciti just curious...does the PS4 launch lineup convince you to buy it...and I apologize if I am assuming you are when in fact you may not be purchasing a PS4 instead? Its gonna be a great system also. But games like Forza, Titan Fall, Quantum Break, and Halo are making me proud of my Xbox One preorder and also whats in store ahead. This is not to mention the great cross platform games ahead.
@velvethammer2000 did you notice the hard racing side by side, looking forward to that with smarter computer drivers via the cloud.
@The_Game21x do you know the car amount and track count compared to previous installments? I have been curious about this. Either way, LE edition for me. Been a forza fan since the original.
@The_Game21x More to be added after release. No Worries.
To be honest not even the PS4 is convincing for me. Don't get me wrong, both systems offer great potential from their respective launch titles but I just don't have any interest this generation. I own a 360 and I will keep it till it breaks. I guess these new games seem similar to current gen games.
