Just loving it more and more! Great comix like graphics, sounds looks awesome and the dialogue choices and how the game will unveil for each one seems amazing! Can't wait! btw, I also don't want to smash buttons all the way, I have other games for that. What I wanna have is a post apocalyptic experience, chose my own destiny as I would if I were there... but... well, guns are always fun thought! =P
that looks nothing like hershel.... I like how your response is timed like in Alpha Protocol ( a hugely underrated game btw), this is looking better and better the more i watch
lmfao who puts batteries in wrong when the diagram is right there! Anyone else look at the art style or textures and think borderlands kinda?
@-rukah_bear did you even listen to kirkman explaining why he wanted the game to be that way and not like every other zombie game? Im glad its different, i mean i love zombies, and zombie games, anything zombies but I would like a refreshing new experience on a zombie game. I think this game will work really well, if you dont like the way it turns out, fine, dont play it. simple as that.
endorbr: You entered the ps3 site of The walking dead therefore you only see "PC, 360 and mac. If you read it carefully it says "also on" and then mentions all the other platforms where the game will be available on
Dude.. who the hell wants to mash buttons? I want to control my characters actions...... not mash buttons to get them to do it.
This franchise is large enough now that it could have gotten a full standard retail product developed, but I'll have to assume when the rights were sold off for this the show's future wasn't assured nor was it known if there'd still be a fanbase. This can work. It's entirely unrealistic to want a game as and/or following the TV series characters. This isn't a standard TV show or movie that might get a game and has a formula to follow. There you know where it starts and ends, you can fill in plot, mess around with people and at least attempt to recreate characters in good faith. That stuff is 100% filler arc to a show or movie's existence and those games. The universe is constant. The Walking Dead is not that kind of show. It's fluid. It's not something you want to garble into some arcade shooter. We have a million such games already. It's fine to be a fan of the show for the lovable zombie violence, but that's not the entire hook that Kirkman wants people to see. It's much more than that.
If it's a telltale game i never doubt about the quality of the story. I love their work. I wish they bring classic "Full Throttle" back in action too.
So is this going to be available for PS3 or not? Gamespot says 360, PC, and Mac but the end of the promo footage shows PS3. Talk about confusing marketing.
Pleasantly surprised by this so far. Telltale have been a bit patchy recently, so I'm hoping this is as good as it looks like it could be.
@beardrewz I also wish it had at least a bit of an open world, exploration. I see a neighbourhood I wanna try going into diff houses and see whats in there, but this seems to be just scripted events and cutscene sequences that move you from location to location. I guess that's normal for this style of adventure game, so it's not necessarily bad, just not what I want. Seems like I have that problem a lot, games that aren't what I want :).
I wish it was a FPS game and as for the art cartoon textures..some scenes look poor some ok. I wish they would just stay away from comic books and not make an excuse that" well the comics book art is like this so the game will be" that sucks. Its should have been a OPEN world far cry 3 graphic game....(not dead island graphics but better) the mouse click games always have a isloated feel...as in the world should feel open like a gta game...where one can explore...
looks like it might be interesting, the voice acting on it looks great. Looks sorta like a zombie heavy rain
Looks promising and something new besides the norm run-n-gun. The only thing that worries me is 5 bucks per episode, first would like to know how long the episodes are and how many they intend to make. But being hopeful.
I find it kind of scary that he's standing & sitting in front that "DON'T OPEN DEAD INSIDE" door. I just feel like a Walker would just come out and try to grab him, lol.
@hystavito I want that too but you know what? This game still looks good, is new and tries to innovate and only for that i will give it a try, in this market plagued with action games and brainless shooters this is very good.
I want a zombie RPG style game, I wanna build a fortification and scavenge for supplies, and craft & build things that progressively allow me to grow my "camp" or make basic necessities easier and then I can progress to more advanced goals. I know someone might suggest Project Zomboid, but that just didn't do it for me. I followed PJ for months, and I think it might be a great game for a lot of people, but it just doesn't look like it will be what I want.
wow, didnt expect the head to break up like that, with the hammer, at the end. Didnt like back to the future's play style but this actually looks really good. i was impressed by the flash game DEAD RECKONING, i'd have been sold with an expanded version of that!
this is more of an interveiw than a gameplay video but oh well, atleast we finally got some gameplay, and i am impressed and am nearly sold on the walking dead game, thanks for the upload guys...
"the Choices you make change the story you experience" I haven't seen a story line like that since Starlancer (no not freelancer)
This might actually be a really cool game, and for rather cheap too. Five episodes, each for five bucks? If its anything like previous games then it should be about 7 - 11 hours which is awesome considering the price. And judging by this video it might even be very well done. Cant wait, thats for sure.
