Good exclusives and powerful tech which is why PS3 is what I would have gotten this generation if I wasn't a PC gamer (will end up getting one eventually), 360 basically had nothing except Halo, Gears and Forza (which is a bit of a niche market).

This time it seems they're finally getting exclusives for Xbox but except for Quantum Brake (which I've seen basically no gameplay of) nothing really stands out, Dead Rising 3 seems to be a butchered version of its predecessors (now with super brown graphics because we don't have enough brown action games) and Ryse looks a really pretty QTE borefest.

In 10 years Microsoft will be nothing but micro. mark my words Microsoft is slowly becoming nothing. apple and PS4 are going to run its billions of dollars into the ground. Microsoft thinks its the all mighty, but doesn't realize that all the companies around it are growing while it is shrinking. good bye Microsoft and good riddance

Men and women stationed overseas don't have the ability to connect to the internet every day, and for gaming...never. So if you are in the military, and want to bring a gaming console on a deployment for your off time ( like I brought my 360) get a PS4. I guess Microsoft no longer supports troops who enjoy gaming as far as next-gen gaming is concerned... Very disappointed.

Final fantasy and kingdom hearts are not sony exclusive is she thick.

PS4 will win the console war there will probably be alot of people that will buy the Xb1 that dont have Internet and find out they cant play any games. its retarded how you have to be online for the Xb1 to play games  microsoft   does not want to win the console war, I dont care in away I like  the  exclusives  on the PS4 more

hordaak

they have more exclusives and a better integrated system. The early adopters may choose ps4 based on bad press, but the xbox one is BAD ASS. look at titan fall first. nobody even talks about games, overall system function, CONTROLLER. who likes the  ps3 controller more than the xbox 360 controller??? the same is true with the xbox one controller. man, I cant wait for my xbox one. the ps4 fanboys are just cry babies. lets talk about what matters. GAMES!!!!

Microsoft definitely has to get back in the game because Sony looks like they're about to conquer next-gen gaming.

Is the order 1886 exclusive to sony?

Um, the person who did this apparently didn't see that Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy are NOT exclusive to sony, xbox gets them both too(but not Nintendo)

I just don't see why it needs to be connected every 24 hours. Why not once a month. Why can't I schedule it on my xbox and make it check when I'm not playing it? That way I can schedule it around the times when I know I won't have internet like when I go home or if I go to a LAN party. It's just dumb that it needs internet to play games. If I wanted to use a form of steam I would have a gaming PC. There's  a reason I stick to consoles but I guess there isn't that gape any more.

@isaiah247 Who are the guys bringing consoles? Theres usually a 360 or two or a ps3 on a base yeah, but I didnt know anyone personally owned it since its always on commonground. I thought only young sailors or nco's were the only ones bringing their personal console.. Most guys with a family waiting for them back home and that got important stuff to do rather not get theirs heads into a game at the end of an exhausting day, thats why I thought its only navy caring about that.. usually only hd tv is on commonground/recreationhall right?

@Acekidder At that time it was just announced. you cant blame her if she didn't know, maybe she wasn't their.

@adamg78 I doubt anyone will buy XB1 that doesn't have Internet.  Even a slow DSL line would suffice.  It's interesting that PS4 is going to a more XBox Live style approach (pay for multiplayer, cross-game chat, real world friends) it will hopefully balance the playing field a little but I have both PS3 and XBox 360 and XBox Live is far and away a better online experience in everything I've played.  PS3 online is a mixed bag and Sony needs to fix it.  Not only the multiplayer but downloading and installing games, demos and patches is painful on PS3 compared to 360 (where patches happen automatically and take about 5-10 seconds vs. several minutes on PS3 for comparable patches).  Hopefully PS4 will auto-patch, play demos with one click (browse to a demo and just click "Play" instead of "Play Demo", "Download In Background", "Install", then click the icon to launch).  Sony can definitely do better than they did with PS3.  I think they're learning from Microsoft both good (XBox Live) and bad (no game rentals).

I'm kind of intrigued by the cloud-based game library on XB1.  I hate physical disks once I've bought them.  I love (on both XBox360 and PS3) digital versions of games since I don't have to worry about a disk getting scratched, lost, etc. and I have multiple 360s so it would be nice to not have to make sure the right disk is in the right room.  That's especially intriguing if I'm over at my brother's house or out of town and want to play or show off some cool new game I got.  Log in, and play the game.  No disk required.  Maybe we're all being a little too hard on MS the same way everyone was on Apple when the App Store came out with the EXACT SAME MODEL.

@adamg78 So you think that the packaging and people who sell the Xbox One will try to hide the fact, so they get upset customers who return their stuff?

Maximaboi

@hordaak I actually prefer sony's controller over the xbox one.  Also, all those amazing games are third party games you are talking about.  How long do you think that will last for? not very long.  Btw which first party games are coming out at launch for xbox? killer instinct? Idk what else.  It does seem like the rumor may be true that their games were behind schedule since they have alot of third party exclusives.  I am impressed with rise and titanfall, I think they look amazing, but like I said before those third party exclusives will not last forever especially if not many consoles get sold.  Oh and you are right, games do matter, we have seen many of the 15 exclusives they now have, sony has 20 exclusives coming out the first year, and I think we may have seen maybe like 6?  With 11 new IPs.  So there is still many more titles that will be announced.

Spreet5454
Spreet5454

@hordaak Just saying PS4 has no restrictions on used games, the controller is not that bad, and AMAZING exclusive like killzone, INFAMOUS, God Of War. Also i am not a fanboy, i currently own both Xbox 360 and Ps3 and i love both because of the specific titles, and just one more things the Xbox One is not that badass, just look at all of the restrictions. What if you live in an area with bad internet, what if you cannot afford always buying new games?

Kougeru
Kougeru

@hordaak You do realize Titanfall is on PC as well? with none of the downsides of  the XB1. Controller is a huge opinion thing, and honestly not that big of an issue. At worst, there is third party controllers. Of course if controls were smarter they'd support ANY controller like the PC does and it would be a non-issue. For games. for REAL exclusives, Microsoft has Halo..nothing new there. And it wasn't even a real trailer. Forza? At least they showed gameplay but it's more of the same as well. Killer Instinct is a terrible disgrace to the franchise. A free to play game with only 1 character unless you buy each of the others, and combat ripped straight from Street Fighter 4. Quantam Break is from a Studio whose games always end up on PC anyway, and they didn't show anything, and the idea behind it screams disaster. RYSE looks great, I'm a Crytek fanboy despite how they noobified the Crysis series when they ported it to consoles with worse graphics and worse multiplayer. However, the quick-time events in combat ruin the whole thing. I'll stick to Total War: Rome II for my fix. Sunset Overdrive was a pre-rendered trailer that told us absolutely nothing. They might as well never showed it since it will be at least a full year before it releases due to the fact the trailer is all they have to show. And with that, I named every single XBOX ONE exclusive title. All the rest are either also on PC where they will be better, or are also on PS4 or current gen consoles.

You are correct, the most important features are the games...however Microsoft's approach is going AWAY from games. They reserve almost half of their (weaker than PS4) RAM for the OS itself so it can do all those non-gaming things like spying on you so your dashboard ads will show you where to buy clean underwear. The GPU is also 17% weaker than PS4. This gives PS4 a huge advantage in the potential in what developers can do with it.

@hordaak what matters is the availability of games and XboxOne screwed the pooch on that one. I have a 360 and love it, but xbox is shooting their selves in the foot trying to destroy the used game market. Then what if your internet is down you can't even play games offline, that's stupid.

Shadowcreeper31

@crash1515 I don't see where the other comment got his answer but it is not confirmed yet. Just because it was shown by Playstation does not mean it is an exclusive. Many games they showed were not.

@troberts10 all your games are in a cloud, they need to be verified that you still own them and didnt sell them, or give them to a friend. xbox doesnt need disks anymore, if it checked in once a month you could give the disk to your friend and still play the same game for a month.... you dont think its awesome you can go to any XBone  and play YOUR games without bringing any disks? or have your 10 "family members" access your library without them coming over to bug you about getting a game, and you not being able to play it till you get it back? the family members dont need to be on the same xbox as you.

McGregor

@troberts10 Well, I say join Steam! I've saved well over $200/yr on games using Steam, it has easily offset the cost of my gaming computer, which was only slightly more expensive than the xbox one is going to be.

@xCobrax112 @isaiah247 When I went to Iraq with the Air Force in 2008 there was a common room in every mod which had a tv, our room had a tv and a Xbox360 because my roommate bought the tv on base and had his 360 sent to him and a coworker had his PS3 in our breakroom.  There are a lot of young people who deploy witht the military and need something to do besides the gym in their spare time and it's a shame that Microsoft doesn't recognize that anymore.

@Spreet5454 Dont know what´s the problem with the DRM and alway online. If you truly are a xbox palyer you´ll probably play a lot more of online games and to do that, you´ll have to be online and your friends needs a copy of the game too. I have both consoles too and I think ps3 exclusives are better single player experience (have all trophys for god of war series and uncharted, working on infamous), so those restriction will only be a problem for ps3 players. But for xbox players what matters is the online gaming and live comunity. Dont know anyone who spend more than a day without internet conection, how are you gonna se your friends on facebook, or a tweet, or a video on youtube, or even ask a question to the god like google serch.

I dont like M$ policy with used games (sometimes you dont like a game and want to trade with a friend who likes it), but dont think it´s a big deal, and the internet issue it´s not a problem, even now I only play my xbox 360 when i´m online because i use cloud storage for my saved games (it´s really good if all your friends have the xbox 360).

To me what matters is the entertainment. It doesnt need an analyst to know that $ony owned the E3, but that doesnt mean the PS4 is a better console than the Xbox One, both system are awesome I´ll probably buy both again (why uncharted and halo were on separate systems?).

With that said i never liked this console war, you think $ony and M$ are actually figthing each other? Or that they care about it? They could even encourage that for the marketing (that´s what I think $ony did). That´s endless people always want these kind of war, it´s like movies or games, xbox or playstation, call of duty or battlefield, assault or sniper, L96 or JNG-90, ...... endless!

Just have fun wtih what you have guys.

Letting the publishers choose whether or not to take advantage of it? yes.

@McGregor @ryanbarker8 If money is an issue then Sony is the way to go. MS is going to cost more intitally, but could be cheaper in the long run if PC game prices are any indication. Then again, you get what you pay for.

troberts10

I just don't like how everything is moving to internet needs. I am going to college so 9 months of the year I have internet but I don't when I go home. So this whole family thing doesn't help me at all!!!

ozdarkhorse
ozdarkhorse

@McGregor @troberts10 You need to upgrade your rig yearly in order to stay current with gaming trends so PC gaming will always be more expensive. However, you get what you pay for as well. PC will always be the superior gaming platform, but it will also always be the most expensive.

troberts10

Already in the process of saving for a PC. My point tho was although I liked playing my 360 online I liked more that I didn't need internet to play it. Now I do.

@DEATH775 @Xam_Yume @hbradley22 @hordaak Don't know what MS was thinking!!, Blizzard did that internet connection thing with Diablo3 and it pissed everyone off. why would a big a$$ company like MS make that kinda mistake??!!u must remember that: it's not only about the internet connection , now they gotta maintain that shit too. which means during certain hours each week u won't be able to play period. I preferred my XB360 over my ps3 but now i'm not even sure I want XB1 ...
