what about crashes or damage on car?? they didn't said anything about it... that's would be nice with damage... i mean not damage like some broken lights or some scratches... i mean real damage... like in RICHARD BURNS RALLY... It was a Beautiful GAME!!! Most of people dont like it because of level of realism ... I hope they gonna create some realistic game not only graphic... by the way those guy on video was total BORING... ...

This will fill the void Grid 2 PC has left for me.  I will be getting this on release day.  I prefer cockpit view.  I still have Motorstorm 1.  Would love a sequel to part 1 on the PS4, I personally felt 2 and 3 were not as good and lacked the originals vision.

...or maybe they should leave that one for Turn 10.

What they should do is figure out a way to implement a fabrication/prototype aspect where you can build your own machine from the ground up - almost like the painting in forza, but pertaining to everything; chassis design, engine design, body design, etc.  If creating your own parts (ie fabricate custom pistons to work well with somebody else's heads which had been designed to augment the performance the user-fabricated engine which was currently used on a popular user-fabricated chassis and body).  I mean think about the possibilities of what a design shop with real-life physics parameters could achieve - look at what friggin minecraft has achieved!  Now take that attitude and throw it into a community who gets off on cars, design, technology...

Looks pretty good, and the social aspects actually seem intelligently integrated into the game's concept. I hope those features are easy to use.

lol Forza was dusting ass with GT5 so bad that Sony had to creat its own forza, watching this guy go onand on  about car details i kept thinking his tongue will slip and he will say auto vista

They can only make the graphics so good on a game. I'd rather see Motorstorm and not some first person junk and all this connect to friends all over the world, joke

"The PS4 has enabled us to make the game we've always wanted to make"... You know, you could have just made the PC game you've always wanted to make, considering the hardware has been there for pretty much over a decade now... Just sayin

Normally, I'm not a huge fan of driving games and I haven't really been hyped over anything in the genre since MSR on Dreamcast and GT2 on PS1.  However, I am definitely going to be following this title.  It almost reminds me of a modern day team-based version of the original Test Drive titles on the C64 (another series of driving games that I really enjoyed at the time).

All of this is well and good but its all completely meaningless if they dont nail the handling/physics model.

I hope they do cause it does look interesting.

the xenon headlights is the same as in any other ps3 game, it's not a perfect circle so whatever the PS# or PC# there are still certain limits

This is to tide us over until the next GT. I like the devs so this should play great.

Hard to get excited over racing games, no matter how many many hours and polygons go into designing the cars.

I hope it's not like GT5, taking 5 years to be released.

Mmm on first thought, it doesn't have sense for Sony to have 2 practically identical exclusive franchises (this one and GT, of course). But I think this game (with its social approach) is meant to compete directly with Forza, and so trying to reposition Gran Turismo as a totally different franchise, hard as nails simulator game experience.

Why always these sharing actions? I want a PLAYSTAION not a SHARESTATION. This '' social media '' stuff is really going overboard.

@lazhit get your feet on the ground. assuming they did that...in a realistic way (no adamantium parts there)...would you be able to manufacture parts in the right specifications?

 do you know anything about manufacturing automitive components that work properly? would you be able to surpass in quality someone with deep knowledge on the subject? i highly doubt it.

 And even if YOU can, what about the rest of the millions who would like to do it and all they would achieve is...nothing unless they studied the subject like those who can?

 All i'm saying is that you're asking for way way way too much. For something that would be fun or even profitable for only a few, but very very frustrating and boring for most.

If you like to do things like what you describe, try in real life. It's much more fun and who knows, you might even manage to create a big company one day.

You freaking asswipe Forza is nothing but a low Budget Gran Turismo. Gran Turismo has been around since 1998 you ass. All Forza did was steal GTs formula. Now go tackle a butter knife .

@sanechupp First person racing is much more intense. Also I have friends. So i like the idea of racing with them against oer groups around the world, and sharing vids with  them. Honestly all you being so negative about the sharing capabilities must really intend not to play any games with friends.

@xSlugox

I agree.  Sony makes PC games and it never made sense to me, to not make more PC titles or bring their older console titles to PC after sales have stopped..  I am a racing game fan and have been since pole position and will be getting this for the PS4.

@Rotondi

I personally love racing games.  If you don't that's your preference and just fine.  I enjoy many genres and I am glad there are different genres so we have choices.

Yeah, lets just hope more than 50 out of the ton of cars look good, and the game doesn't take 50 years to come out, though. lol

It will probably be embraced more, if anything.  =/

@GeorgeSyll @lazhit Why would this be impossible?  All it takes is some imagination in its implementation.  FIFA and Pro Evo both allow you to "become a professional footballer" without having to actually train as one, and lets face it - being good at driving games isn't the same as being a good racing driver.

I like the idea and would welcome someone trying to come up with something that could allow you to play at being an engineer.

@FollowY0urBliss Yeah. If this happens, I think a DO NOT SHARE button will be required. Ironically, an antisocial life will be  healthier than a social one.

@Gamer_4_Fun @Maxmus050 It's when registration (and cost on privacy) on so-called "social" networks become mandatory where the problem lies.

@TheSkyrimStatue @AlfaxD_Centauro

I own Forza 1, 2, and 3 and it is not the greatest racing franchise.  I think Forza 3 was pretty good but it is not the greatest.  I love how your biased fanboyism has let you play a game that has not been released.

@FollowY0urBliss@pawel04@Gamer_4_Fun@Maxmus050I think most of the people are missing the point, or the context, of "social" that PS4 is bringing us. You're thinking of social as in Facebook where you'll be sharing your gaming habits and overloads of wall feeds and your privacy... is not private at all. That's not how I seet it. The "social" that PS4 speaks about (a lot) is about connecting players and giving us amazing possibilities. I don't understand why most are being so close-minded. I'm certain that everyone at a certain time shared with their friends about "the goal I scored on my favourite football game" or "the other day killing spree on my favourite FPS game" or "the funny bug that make me laugh on the last game I played". Now imagine you can share that in video, in real-time, with your group of friends. I honestly think that's great, and that's just one example. Also, you're making as if you can't control your PS4 social profile privacy settings, as if anyone, at anytime, can access and invade you. I really doubt that'll be the case, you'll probably be able to share only with who you want and keep your profile private. I'll wait for more details, but if it's like I think it will be... thumbs up Sony, you can count on me.

Owned.

But more importantly, I think Maxmus ( If his stance is similar to mine, anyways) just doesn't want social media becoming the MAIN PART of gaming.  I mean, if it's an optional feature, then cool, whatever. People can use it if they want.

But I worry that social media will become an integral part of gaming, and possibly take focus AWAY from what really matters. THE GAME ITSELF.
