Wondering, if anyone knows, do i need to play the previous 2 DLC's in order to keep up with this new story?
What I don't see is why small amounts of content (When in comparison to the main game) cost between 1/3 and 1/2 of the price for the main game. I'd be willing to pay 15% extra on the starting price if they'd just put the intended content on the main disc. A lot of "DLC" is just, oh hey, we announced it, but this section isn't done.
I'm sorry, but a few extra missions is not "more than an expansion pack." It's usual just a playable character, or 4 hours of content. Not expansion pack worthy.
I disagree , if a game gets full on expansions and game of the year versions , it makes the original disk incomplete. The core story is there yes but not all the content available for Dishonoured. They should have a vision for a game make ALL the content for it then release it and move onto another game. That's what I'm getting at.
The full game is on the disc. This is about further content which, because it can use a lot of the fundamentals of the Dishonored code stored on the disc, can be released for a lot less money and as a much smaller download.
Its not the full game though is it. I have dishonoured on disc, but now I'm gonna have to purchase this dlc if I want "the full game"
Christopher, you can purchase games on disc. Are you in a futureworld where physical copies of games are not available? O_o
Expansion pack used to mean as little as a few new items for a game. DLC is often much more than an expansion pack.
IMO, a stand alone expansion pack would work out better than DLC's like Crysis warhead. I uninstall games once I finish them (i.e. bioshock, assassins creed) that way I make room for the next game. this DLC and season passes are getting old.
in mi opionion, dishonored was lame. u had lots of resources and not much ways in which you could use them. and i decided not to upgrade teleport, cuz it was a game killer.
its a very good game if you're into stealth action games , awesome story too and lots of gameplay hours ;)
I miss unlockable content and parts on disc now u have to pay to play and pay for trophies or achievements. Gaming becoming the most expensive hobby but this dishonered dlc look worth it
The worst DLC is when the "DLC" is actually on the retail disk to begin with and they make you pay to unlock it. Premeditated ripoff.
Me too, but DLC is a big convenience and online stores like Steam make it easier to pay for good games in countries like the one where i live where we don't get too many PC games brought here, or it is just really hard to get them.
Oh yeah, I realize why they call it that. And it's downloaded, so the term makes more sense. You just see the term "DLC" so much these days it's getting a little redundant.
Me too, but the problem is that usually DLC isn't big enough to be worthy of the title "expansion pack". I'm with you on your thought though, 100%.
@DarthLod You realize you'd still be paying the fee with the GOTY edition, right? You wouldn't normally pay $60 for a 2 year old game, now would you?
