Tbh I like the Comparison videos. However, I still love all consoles. I love ps4 and I love X1. If I am a dad, these consoles are my kids. One is smart, but the other is strong ;) so both works together for me =D.
I was sad because the X1 is making it harder at 1st time playing games and Idk else but not it's good. And I was sad to know its not having good Hardware as well as ps4. But in the end, I say Who cares. Just get the game and play it and have fun in any desired console. And after that wish the best in the slime version :)
What console I like to play the most, For now PS4, However Money is a big role If I can save more money in the X1. So I'll play on the x1. Like I get Game X on both consoles and it's worth 60$ on both, but I get on the X1 50% off on that game's price So I'll play it on the X1 =D. So Money Rules.
What else, for example Cod AW it has more things on the X1 so I'll play it on X1 but BF headline has more things on the PS4 and there we go. In the end X1 and PS4 Keep going and amaze us with the great new games ;)
xLive Or PSN well well. None hhhhhhhhhh. Single player I prefer =D
I honestly can't tell the difference unless I look very closely; which I'm not going to be doing in the middle of an intense firefight with Fallen, Hive or other Guardians. The PS4 might be slightly sharper and may end up being a tad smoother on release but, to me at least, this isn't enough to make me regret my decision to get the One. Call me a sucker for gimmicks but I love all the voice/gesture control stuff and being able to control the TV, cable box and audio receiver all at once is just convenient. I tried and read up on both before buying and despite it's edge in price and graphics, the PS4 just didn't excite me; it was just a PS3 with better graphics. Conversely, I couldn't stop the nerdy giggles when I played the One.
Anyway this game will be a blast whatever system you play so for those planning on getting a next gen console with Destiny, base your decision on how you like the the console personally; not just on spec's alone. My 2c.
This is all pretty pointless. Bungie has already stated that they didn't favor the PS4 during development, and that Destiny was designed to give everyone the "same experience" across all of the platforms. In other words, any advantage the PS4 might have power wise won't be getting utilized. The bright side is that it should allow for smoother gameplay at 30fps on the PS4. I look for this to become a pretty common trend for this generation of consoles, at least for cross-console titles. It's just easier to give everyone the same experience compared to getting bashed with hate mail and accused of favoring one console when the performance marks don't match up, which is exactly what would have happened otherwise.
Are you people this stupid? Bungie said Destiny would not be 1080p during Beta but will be on Launch. So this is misleading.
What amazes me is all the b s articles, yet I have yet to see one about how many time s Sony has lied about graphics and framerate. 3 times so far...1.killcrap 2 watchdogs 3 hardline...massive problems with psn,psn is a ripoff, yet in the media microsoft is crucified for the smallest thing,f u media for all your paid for and biased articles.
console fans: pc having better graphics don't matter
every game that comes out, xbox vs ps graphics comparison. both garbage, get over it
Truthfully I do not see too much difference. The XBOX One seems to be a bit darker that that is all I can really see, rather than splitting the image show full image for each side by side maybe we might see a bit more difference. That being said while graphics look pretty it really is the game play that counts and in the heat of fighting/battle you do not really notice the graphics as much.
The PS4 looks slightly sharper than the Xbox One, but the difference is minor. If I was playing on either system without a comparison system, I wouldn't have any idea that anything has been added or removed. It looks good graphically either way. Franky, quality graphics are always good, but substance in the game is far more important. If the game sucks, it doesn't matter how good the graphics look (I say this in general, not specifically at this game, since I never did play it).
You can tell the difference, the ps4 has a much sharper image then the x1. the x1 has a blurry/muddy image you can tell by looking a the trees and plants.
Its been a while ago that I've played a crapy game like this.
I didn't have any interest in this but i saw a message yesterday saying that this game is going to take the #1 place over from CoD, so i wanted verify for my self.
In their dreams, this game is so boring, what a waist of time and money.
Even my 4yo son was begging me to stop playing this game and go for something with more action.
The person who makes announcements in the crucible (or the @#% its called) sounds like that he rather want's to sleep instead of telling who hase capture which obj or are losing the battle.
Destiny; EPIC FAIL.
I also downloaded the 360 demo out of curiosity and was surprised how poor in comparison to games made 5 years ago the graphics are, its almost like they made it look that bad on purpose so the newer console versions look 10 times better.
Played the demo and it bored me if you like Halo you will love it. I was always a Gears fan and still have more fun playing gears 3 than this but seeing how the PS4 has a lack of good games and Sony fans are crying out for games this Halo spin off should see them fine.
tried the beta on Xbox and not sure if i'll buy this game. but for sure.... i'm not seeing much difference, if any. between the 2.
so far this gen i've bought all multi-plats on PS4 (since owning one) because the likes of DF said the PS4 performs better and i take there word on it as i tend to not see the 900/1080p 30/60fps differences. i'm thinking its time i ignored the minor differences and just got the game for the system that has the best pad and achievements.
I have both, and overall I like my XB1 a lot more than my PS4, for the simple fact it does so much more. However the PS4 looks better in actual usage for this game, more than the side by side above seems to show. However, the dev has already said that the retail version of the XB1 should run at 1080p as well - so that would be great. Overall it's noticeable to me, but doesn't change the game experience and for someone that doesn't have as good of an eye they might not notice.
So Bungie wanted to "aim for parity for all consoles"? The only reason why the XBO and PS4 version will look the same is because Bungie held back the PS4 version from its full potential due to "parity". This is BS. MS must be pressuring Bungie for this, AND they will pressure other developers as well. Who suffers in the end? Gamers. We know that that Microsoft doesn't give a crap about gamers, they purposely withheld the X360 version of Titanfall to boost the sales of the XBO version. This is how MS treats gamers.
You know something, I cancelled my PS4 pre-order of Destiny. This is BS. It's MS's fault for putting out a gimped console, and PS4 gamers shouldn't have to pay for their idiocy. Also, I will not support a developer that gets moneyhatted by MS as well.
@snyperdons I can think of a few more worthy things in the world to get angry about than media bias towards a console maker.
@codo27 wow! Really? PC's have better graphics...no way. Thanks captain obvious.
@kxgeoffxp No, PS4 is much, much crisper/sharper, and has less aliasing artifacs (glitchy pixels, especially on edges of things like bushes/grass/trees, etc.) and the textures on PS4 are noticeably clearer.
But more importantly, the game simply RUNS smoother on PS4, despite being native 1080p, unlike XBOX ONE's 900p upscaled. Mainly due to PS4's GPU power & more advanced RAM capabilities.
@lion2447 I agree that graphics aren't everything, but if two consoles are priced the same, the game costs the same, and the game mechanics and features are identical for each console, wouldn't you want the one that looks graphically better?
Not only that, but the game runs better/smoother (framerate-wise) on PS4. That, unlike slight graphical enhancements, is a HUGE factor.
@metallunar It looks the same except the xbox one is a little darker. You need to get your eyes checked.
@LStyleD the other crappy game; was it titanfall?
@christhevillan I played both PS3 and PS4 versions. Simply put, 7th gen consoles simply can't handle the scale, details and rendering that is present on 8th gen. Just remember Bungie are trying to get a next gen game running on 8 year old hardware. The huge decrease in quality was predictable.
They wouldn't have made it bad on purpose, instead they're pushing the systems to the limit.
@g0ldenpr0pet Do you have any proof of this? ....no?
I didn't think so. Grow up.
@g0ldenpr0pet This just gave me cancer.
Besides resolution..no they look the same...and for you to say any different points to the obvious.. Your a Sony fanboy..and if you do a bit of research or read a few comments below you'll find that the Xbox One version will be 1080p at release..yes the beta is 900p on Xbox One. But come release they will be exactly the same...which is a good thing for everyone.
@fyrecide @lion2447 Smoothness means a lot when dealing with FPS games. It's one of my major turnoffs or turn-ons. If it's choppy on Xbox, then I hope there are some options available for owners to down-tune, so they can win smoothness. Then there are games that are smooth, but just slow when it comes to FPS, no matter what you do. Ironic how Playstation used to be inferior in graphics before, and hands down super in all other aspects.
@fyrecide @lion2447 I never had any noticeable frame drops (xone). the only lag i ever experienced was when they were doing the heavy server testing on the last day (which is also when all of the network problems people mentioned were happening). And frankly I'm GLAD they had problems on the last day, because it means launch should go that much smoother.
@fyrecide @lion2447 No. I would choose the platform that has better online security and reliability. Because it's an online game. You simply will not notice any differences in visual quality unless you have both versions running side by side and examine them both over and over again for several hours. And even then, you will have people on both sides saying it looks better on one or the other. Even though it's painfully obvious they look almost exactly the same DESPITE the lower resolution on Xbones beta version.
I don't care for consoles either way, but the ps4 looks better. I really don't understand the debate over gfx since the ps4 hardware is objectively more powerful (although one can argue that most people are incapable of telling the difference). In this case, the ps4 is clearly a lot better looking.
I never said it the xbox one has an abundance
just a better choice of games than the PS4 at the moment. i plan on picking up a PS4 next year.
@Xmus942 i am a sony fanboy, sony pony, whatever; and i disagree with timed exclusives on any format. if a game is due for xbox, playstation and pc, everyone show get a fair shake o' the stick.. but i do think this'll be a great game, and i'm glad i own a ps4..
@kxgeoffxp "The obvious"? Do you realize that I don't even have a PS4? Not yet anyway lol. And I skipped Sony/PlayStation last generation as well (I never owned a PS3; last Sony console I owned was a PS2). I do, however, have both an XBOX 360, and an XBOX ONE, and I also owned the original XBOX. I'm also a HUGE fan of the Halo franchise (which both my Twitch & YouTube channels can prove). So right off the bat you're wrong. Assumptions, assumptions, assumptions...
Also, it's "YOU'RE* a Sony fanboy"; please, if you're over the age of 8, there's absolutely no reason to not know the difference between "your" and "you're". NOT knowing the difference just shows how uneducated you are; not a good thing when you're trying to "win" an argument/debate, or even just in general (I don't know about you, but I don't like to represent myself as generally stupid... but that's just me).
No, it's not just resolution, it's also texture compression, which they rely on more heavily on XBOX ONE so as to not have to drop the resolution even lower in order to keep up a solid 30fps minimum. When you compare screenshots (uncompressed, unlike this video, which is HEAVILY compressed and thus, distorted), you can quite clearly see that not only are textures sharper, but the details are more prominent. I'm a veteran graphic designer with 16+ years of professional experience in the field... I'm pretty sure I know what I'm talking about ;)
Yes, Destiny will be 1080p (or so they say, anyway... things can--and often do with video games--change between now and then). HOWEVER: at what cost? There is obviously a reason why they had to drop down to 900p on XBOX ONE, and it's not because of the old dev kits that required reserve GPU for Kinect; the new Kinect-less kits only free up about 10% more power, which is not enough to bridge the gap between 900p and 1080p. It doesn't sound like a huge increase, but when you're rendering as big and detailed of a game like Destiny, with all the effects and such, that extra 180p bump requires a significant amount of processing power. And as I already mentioned, the game runs smoother on PS4, vis a vis the beta anyway. That may or may not change, but I've definitely played both versions and PS4 definitely felt smoother.
Regardless, yes: the game will be more than playable on both consoles, and will look great on both; hell, I even downloaded the beta for XBOX 360, and while it obviously doesn't look as good as the PS4 & XBOX ONE versions, it's still an amazing looking game for a nearly 8 year old console. But when all is said and done, I will be purchasing it for PS4, as it already is running at 1080p, and as I stated before, played/ran a fair bit smoother as well. So unless that changes, that's the winning ticket for me.
@absolut1l @fyrecide @lion2447 Chose an online bank as your platform of choice then since you feel security is the most important thing. Keep in mind that some gamers prefer the quality of the games. Also keep in mind XBox falls victim of security breaches all the time as well. Their network also crashes often. As a matter of fact wasn't it down yesterday for many gamers?
@BuzzLiteBeer @chad8mw @metallunar You are on crack. There is virtually no difference whatsoever. Any slight difference you might be able to tell with your microscope and 4 hours of caparison is likely attributed to the slightly higher beta resolution on the PS4. The msot readily apparent difference is obviously better contrast on the Xbox One. This can be seen on almost every multiplatform. The PS4 has a texture filter problem that makes everything hazy looking
@christhevillan Don't worry man I knew what you were talking about.
Yes the resolution bump from 900p to 1080p is highly due to the extra 10% GPU power..bungie isn't dumb enough to make a game look superior on one console to another..why would they alienate people on diff platforms..its a multiplat
You seem to be the only person on here who sees this large of a difference between the 2..im sorry for assuming tho..like i said your one of the only people to state that they see this big of a difference..I know there will be small differences in anti-aliasing, screen tearing, and possibly frame rates..but these will be very slight if anything at all..but the textures are the same on both consoles
The biggest difference in this comparison is the resolution which is already confirmed 1080p on Xbox One and PS4 at launch..there's also video of 1080p gameplay on Xbox One online..and the other big difference is the gamma..the Xbox one has way more contrast..this is something that has been present on Xbox 360 also..this will cause dark scenes to look less detailed in some cases..but its nothing to write home about.
The only thing you'll gain from playing it on PS4 is is the extra timed DLC content that come with the PS4...nothing more
@kxgeoffxp YOU JUST DONT GET IT - 10% is what Xbox wins by ditching Kinect, which is still not enough. Xbox showing this at 900p, and it's still not as good; when it goes 1080, even more sacrifices in quality have to be made. And for the difference being small or big - he is into graphics, so by taking a good look he says from what he's seen it is in fact a sizeable difference technologically; that confirms that on 1080 it just does not stand a chance to be as smooth, even with many sacrifices. On the plus side, playability is still great - so other pluses, such as better ecology / social / anything else (as it personally appeals to you), Xbox option might still be better for you, despites the shortcomings in sheer graphics.
Whether its on PS4 or Xbox One the game looks the same..its funny cuz there are games you'll see clear differences between the two console's..but this isn't one of them..and since that's the case all the people playing on PS4 are b**thurt about their console not looking"40%" better on this one...so keep telling yourself that..hope it makes you feel better..but besides gamma..it looks the same..deal with it.
YOU JUST DON'T GET IT- Bungie had the Xbox one version at 900p so it could retain the same amount of detail that the PS4 version has...that 10% bump gained them enough processing power to bump it to 1080p while keeping the same amount of detail..if what your saying were true they would have kept it at a lower res to keep the graphical detail the same between the two console's..we've already seen this across the board with previous games.
Not sure what kind of device that is, or it's quality, but I was watching it on my little 17 inch 1920x1080 laptop and could clearly see a big difference. So on a big modern TV the difference would be quite pronounced! It definitely matters to me.
@absolut1l Not sure what kind of device that is, or what it's quality is, but I was watching it on my little 17 inch 1920x1080 laptop and could clearly see a big difference.
@kxgeoffxp My god you sound bu**hurt. I don't even own a console, just discussing here. If your console looks just as good then why are you so upset?! So you are saying Bungie is not stupid for making lower resolution to struggle to keep up with quality while faling at smoothness, only to later on sacrifice quality to gain the resolution. (Something's got to give.)
Like I said, I hope that downtune option will be there for you, if things get too choppy, which I am not claiming they will. (My console! My console! How dare you throw your cheap facts at me! Making me dislike MY CONSOLE! I'm not angry, you are!).
