Did you somehow miss the 5$ and 2.5$ The Witcher 2 and The Witcher enhanced edition?
My faith in you is lost...
Fancy buying Dark Soul and replaying it but I'm still stick on Maneater on Demon Souls so seems pointless.
So far I have purchased tropico4 bundle, Portal 2, Stalker:Clear Sky, Mark of the Ninja, System Shock 2, Amnesia:dark descent
And have Condemned: criminal origins, Hitman:Blood Money on deck!
That should hold me over until Christmas holidays. :))
this whole "world premiere tank battles" add is a joke right? RIGHT? pelase tell me it's a big fat joke..
If Far cry 2 is $2.50 then its worth and ARMA 2 for $8.50 is nice deal but the voice over is terrible.
Dark Souls - not available in the middle-east/Israel region: that sucks badly !!!(same with Batman AC goty) - it does not appear even on the steam store catalogue.
Luckily I have already played Dark Souls on PS3, but I really wanted to test the dlc content through pc, with better resolutions and all (after modding I guess)
Form Software disappoints.
Wow Steam really does have some great deals. If Sony and Microsoft were to adopt a similar pricing model then used games wouldn't be a big deal at all thereby eliminating all the DRM fuss.
yes I too agree it was one of the more engaging takes on cold war city building in the tropics, in the last 3 years at the very least.
Come back Civ V Gold Edition, I wan't to buy you at 75% off!
Nice headbutt PCBrown! Also, is it just me or does the screen text @ 2:25 for Metro 2033 look like Metro 2833?
@wa128 With the exception of exclusives, which are becoming less and less in numbers nowadays.
The only reason for me to buy a new console is that. :) Long live PC gaming! Steam rocks.
@SrebX Glad I grabbed both of those when I did :3
@yanguo Not yet.
@yanguo Yeah Im wondering that too
@EL_Bomberdor Demon's Souls is harder, has (had?) servers, and has a generally darker vibe. Dark Souls is bigger and more balanced. If Dark Souls had servers I'd say it was the better game. It doesn't, so I'm not sure if I'd say that or not. Anyway, there is no Demon's Souls on PC, so I guess Demon's isn't relevant in a Steam Sale kind of way, making Dark Souls the best game ever of all time ever.
@dwjconley you'll need x360 controllers or akin
@FuzailAhmed56 That's part of the difficulty :)
@FuzailAhmed56 ME TOO! I'm from Israel, where are you from?
Form Software - you disappoints!
@Addictgamer114 awfully great!
@GunEye Same here, but the real pain is not being able to pre order anything from Israel ):
@ajay1708 I could see Sony offering decent deals on the PSN Store, but probably not to Steam's level of ludicrous being a closed platform and all. Maybe we'll see PS4's future indie titles get some good discounts eventually, since they appeared keen on working closely with indie publishers. Sony's PlayStation Plus scheme is good value at the moment considering things, hopefully it will continue well into the PS4's lifespan.
On the other hand, M$ has been so tight fisted with Xbox Live marketplace titles, i've rarely seen a sale or even a decent price drop on any worthy titles in all the years I've owned their box. And so far Games for Gold has had fairly old titles, not on par with PSN.
Still in both cases, closed digital platforms with virtually no competition on their online sales, so no incentive to do deep discounts. They can take any DRM criticism and just laugh all the way to the bank.
So there's my 'Pachter style' prediction, which will probably be proven wrong...
@blackpuddytat She will love it :P
@mountain_k Not anytime soon.You have to wait until 2020
@dannyodwyer Best cosplay ever
At least with pc you can have both... a controller or keyboard+mouse...
Also games pc had a bonus because its graphics are way better... Remember that none of the console games are actually in 1080p... they are all upscaled from 720 or even 540p etc.
I wouldn't say superior to anything being it down to personal preference but can understand mouse play bad for certain games.
I have to say I PC and console game with a controller if possible so for me controller is superior but everyone to their own.
Well, it does have controller support. You can use an Xbox 360 controller (or PS3 controller with 3rd party drivers) to play it.
Mouse + Keyboard is the superior control method for a lot of games, but not all games.
Can't help but imagine playing Dark Soul with a mouse and keyboard to be a true nightmare
@GunEye @lkjghhrkj @FuzailAhmed56
I don't have the ps3 version so I can't tell you if it is better. Anyway, I didn't install any mods and the game looks great to me and runs really smooth (although it's locked on 30fps). If I remember correctly the resolution of the game on my laptop is 1366x768. The only annoying thing is the online pass every time you start the game which forces you to use GFWL, so when I tried to play the game offline it didn't save my progress.
@lkjghhrkj @GunEye @FuzailAhmed56 Well, that works. I have the physical copy of the PS3 version, and the DLC. Now I consider buying it for reply on my pc, but I have heard it is poorly ported to PC graphics - that the resolution is horribly low, no widescreen support, low fps, etc..
Also heard there is a mod or two to fix that, how are you playing? did you fix the visuals? is this version better or worse than the PS3 one?
Yes, you heard right brother, appearantly they figured that our countries are all camels and sand, why bother :)?
@Armyboy5 @GunEye @FuzailAhmed56 A good to handle this, is ask a friend in steam from a different country to buy you the game you want, and then buy him back something he wants as gifts. Of course hard to find someone who will do that. Either way, if you release a pc version of Dark Souls - make sure it is WORLD WIDE supported.
so @Armyboy5 you got steam maybe? what's your id? mine's Ransom Seraph
