@vega13mv I totally agree with you, except for the fact that Diablo 3 is made by Blizzard, and so we won't see it until at least 12 years have passed between it and it's predecessor. . .
The only noticeable problem I have with this game is it's galore of glitches. In fact, I have a glitch in the game right now that wont go away: randomly throughout every mission, all enemys will stop attacking and moving, I wont be able to attack but I can still move. and I cant switch heros. Then I have to abort the mission and start over just to "fix it" but the problem continues. Even with the patches, It still is being stubborn. Hopefully a patch will come out soon to fix the problem. Otherwise this game (for me) is un-playable. :( But if I could play, I would like it.
this game is such a waste of time.... for 60 euros i better go drink...lol.. than play this crap, its not even original. (check evolva if u remember , or are old enough to remember it)
Sorry... forgot to link: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/evolva/index.html?tag=result%3Btitle%3B0 This is Evolva! Maybe i'll install it again instead of buying Darkspore! :D
seriously gamespot reviews usually leave me depressed, how about telling me what the game has and doesnt without such personal biased opinion of if u think it sucks or not? Its us who have to say if it sucks or not , you're just supposed to tell us what the game has or not and you are not doing that. Its good but it sucks but its kinda good although it sucks. sht the hell up, just tell me game specifics , talk about stats and abilities and is there talent points or stat point distribution ? can we use mods? bad reviewers like always and thats my gamespot style review of gamespot biased and based on personal opinion leaving out the content people want to actually know.
I'd say all guys at Gamespot are good. I am reading their reviews since 2003 I think. It is very seldom that my opinion is opposite to theirs. You need internet connection to play the game. Once there you can play solo which is fun but much harder starting level 3-1 and onward. Still playing together is more fun. More enemies, more action. And no - there is no offline mode for the game.
Why Game Spot doesn't make Kevin do all the reviews? He is awesome! He always speak the truth, if the game is bad, he says it is bad. This guy should do all the reviews.
Thanks for review. I like this game very much. It is not demanding. I can play solo or with others if I want. One level takes 10-15 mins if I wanna take a quick break off work. And chaining levels coupled with daily bonus gives better chance to get nice items. Happy with the buy overall.
@Kevin-V thanks for the follow up, but even though some of us can read the undertone lying under your review, 7.5 is almost too high for what is expected of gspot's review standards. Hope future gamespot's reviewer's are gonna keep it real on what they want to say and not sugarcoat it because that's why i in the beginning only go to gamespot when i need game reviews... in the beginning.
grim0187: Looking past you're feeble attempt to be condescending. Just because married life has rendered you unable to concentrate and follow a story, doesn't mean that the rest of us wouldn't appreciate a decent storyline in an action ROLE-PLAYING game.
Darkspore, well actually from the beginning of Spore is the sign that EA prefer their game no longer mod supported. They prefer to keep their minds in and thought we as customer are dumb enough to buy their game because we want.
Sigh, I'm seen better older EA Games then this. C&C General is far better then this piece of thrash, and it has plenty of mod support, trust me, go to mod db and find all the C&C General Mod that beats todays money making lame game for free!
@Yams1980 You can't give EA all the credit for this "game". If you think like that you might as well boycott all of EA's published games. @sexyweapons What if it wasn't EA's initiation to start this game? What if it was Maxis who proposed this game to EA?
Wow, look at all the haters. When you grow up and get a job and an actual LIFE outside of coming home from school and jumping on your game rig, you'll realize that not everything needs a story. A quick little hour or two of addictive loot grabing and some dungeon crawling with friends is all you need when you balance work, a wife and two kids. It'll come little ones, it'll come.
7.5 is overrated for this peice of trash. You can tell in the review itself that it gets really boring really fast. I forced myself to play 3 hours of it to give it a solid chance. It's not worth it trust me.
Game can be some what addicting, during beta i had some pretty cool heroes and customizing them can be fun.
