Ditch that greasy engineer and grab your MAV, it's time to get combat effective.
Did you enjoy this video?
Nice DLC i like it Awesome means Battlefield 3
MAV charge shot doesn't need to lock on to destroy equipment, just point and shoot if you dont want to wait. it does not work on mines or C4, but all other equipment, including health and ammo packs.
Kinda silly that all the scopes looked exactly the same. It's little details like this (along with the constant patching to fix glitches) that caused me to walk away from BF3.
what a shame you are always using ballictics(x12) and you say its 7x or 8x LOL
heres how, BY ADDING PC VOIP, serially WTF, just give us auto battlelog party sync to squads..........
the mav doesn't fire a projectile. it shoots an electrical charge, overloading only mechanical equipment
Great vid, thanks. Love the coversation.
nice one, thank you !!!
great video very usually, i've been playing BF3 for 760hrs and i dont even have one service star with my recon class so this would help me with it thank u guys
Another video where I get to help Aaron pad his kill/death ratio ;-)
Hmm...I've been playing since day one and always thought only the 12x had scope glare...I feel like a noob lol
Awesome :D Those two dudes are always funny xD
This rocks. I've been playing it for a week now. Really good stuff.
Anyway very good tips, I haven't bought any maps yet, but those sniper tips should be useful on most maps.
In a 4 guys team one could be a recon with the soflam, two engeneers with javellins and a support could supply infinite rockets, doen't sound so bad to a support like this.
What a horrible test.First they say the background or objects may affect the glint yet they don't test that theory by having the guy on the rocks change his scope. Then the possibility of prone affecting comes up, so what does the guy on the rocks do when they test the bush blocking the glint, he goes prone.Troubleshooting fail.
They should have had the guy on the rocks change his scope as well as test prone and standing behind the bush.As far as we know there could just be something funky going on when on top of that crane (the object) in combination with the light sky background.
Well I for one found this video useful and will use these tactics when I stop playing BL2 and download Armored Kill, that might not be for a while though...
All of this info is based purely on console versions. Did you guys find any difference playing on PC with possibly higher draw distances or higher textures and what not?
I really like the camera switching to see where the bullet went. NJ Gamespot
@Madyasho The player on the crane varied while the player on the ground stayed the same. The labels were for the glint you were looking at.
@jtech50 Thanks for clearing that up!
@solidx12 They *really* screwed recon over in BF3, in four of five situations, it's the least useful class. Armored Kill does its part to fix that.
@ilantis It's a sound idea but co-ordinating everyone and getting everyone to move together is a pain in the ass. Then you have no medic to revive anyone who goes down.
@ilantis Maybe that would work. When tried with just one support and one engineer, in Tank Superiority we found that most enemy armor was using IR smoke on all vehicles. We played a twenty minute match and I got zero kills with javelin despite Aaron setting me up with an endless supply.
@tframp420 We did change the scope on the rocks. We tried 12x, 8x, 7x, and 6x in both positions and could see no major change in scope glint. Sorry if that wasn't obvious in the video.
@xSlugox Aaron just finished building his new gaming PC, we'll see if we can find any differences.
@seanmcloughlin @ilantis Assault class is still pretty damn useful. On Rush, there's always a need. On conquest, taking an objective not heavily engaged by armor, assault class will tend to still win most infantry engagements with superior fire power. If you're still worried about being able to combat armor, there should be plenty of engineer kits lying around on the ground when you've done your work.
@anvilone NBD, it just wasn't clear in the video, looks like you just changed the scope on crane dude and left the 12x scope on the player on the rock.Going straight to prone behind the bushes boggled my mind though. Maybe ya did test all that but it didn't show in the video. The former QA tester in me just came out swinging, hahah!Good tips on the other stuff though, enjoyed the vid either way.
@tframp420 Yeah, to keep the video short (already 15min as is) we didn't include all of the comparison for the guy on the rock, but we did do all of the testing. Good eye!
