Black Friday In-Store Sales
Think of the savings! Another terrific reason to join the crazies on Black Friday and fight for the deal of a lifetime.

Fortunately(?) I've already spent way more money on gaming than I logically should have this year so I don't feel the need to get anything on Black Friday and I can stay home, sleep in and check up on the Black Friday mayhem from the safety of my humble abode.
Those crowds in the introductory 18 seconds made me afraid to go shopping. Very afraid. I understand why people sometimes get seriously injured or killed in the deal stampedes.
Anyway I'll be looking to get GTA V finally. AC IV sounds like a good deal too, since I can get a $10 upgrade and I already got that $10 in my PS4 box. And tho I'm subbed thru the end of next year for PS+, that $30 is too good to pass up if I can get it, I'll just stack it thru 2016.
I never beleived in black friday deals. All the good stuff never goes on sale i.e. ps4 xbox1 it's just the leftovers that are on sale lol
For you Canadians out there Walmart Canada is going to sell games like BF4 and Batman Origins for $38.99 ( I know not as good as the States, but we all knew that.)
Does anyone know from previous Black Fridays, Does Amazon.com put their digital downloads on sale for Black Friday too?
Interesting to note: Wal-Mart has both Disney Infinity and Skylanders Swap Force on sale for $37 until Friday. I actually found that out on Friday on this site, and found it odd that they would undercut their own Black Friday price on the two (which was supposed to be $38.96 according to the online ad).
Lo and hehold, when I went there Friday night, both were discounted. I picked up a Swap Force starter pack for me and my older sister, completely eliminating the need to go out on Friday.
But since I love all you crazies so much, I'll join you anyway. You'll be able to spot me easily: I'll be the guy in all black, speaking in .Engrish.
"Purizu retto mii suruu!!"
Have fun trampling each other to death so you can get a good deal on the item you want, why not, material things are way more precious than human lives or dignity.
I don't live in the US and I find those clips from black friday in stores to be totally crazy! Looks like a bunch of animals!
320$ for a Wii U. Come on that's not a black friday deal. I want one, but I will not pay more than 200 on one. Even with those games included.
You couldn't pay me to go out early on black Friday. I enjoy sleep more than getting trampled at Wal-Mart.
fair play America doing sales before Xmas unlike Europe that make you wait until 1sy of January.... then again i have already seen some of these games and hardware just as cheap here at normal retail prices, or trade ins, especially with the new consoles coming out. Plus gotta hate those crowds!!
Makes me sad how people forget about the true values of Black Friday, we should remember on this day to oppose the prejudice, and fight for equality, not just buy electronics for a good price.
The real reason they don't have any price drops on ps4 and xbone games and hardware is because all the people that just finished buying their systems and games will just go back to the store asking for refunds. Especially with most retailers having policies like guaranteeing a refund until the 5th of January 2014. So it would be logical to not put nest-gen stuff on sale.
@Liquid_ Not to mention the PS4 Brack Friday Bunduru.
@amdreallyfast People get ravenous about it.
Capitalism and consumerism are literally a religion. They dictate peoples' behavior and decision making more than any holy book ever did.
@PayneKiller I was wondering too :)
@dr_jashugan Indeed, although Steam's big deal time seems to come at the new year, so for many deals you may want to wait another month.
@SilentAssassin I'm not sure about this year but there have been some great deals on other stuff like TVs and surround sound systems (at least in my experiences). I've been able to snag some pretty awesome stuff (even back when I had to camp out at 2am with my van, a propane heater, a hibachi, some burgers, dogs and a couple 30packs of beer). People in line were lining up to stay warm and get some grub. For me it was a great experience getting some good deals and meeting a lot of cool folks. :)
@Dragon-Power It also originally referred to the enormous amount of pedestrian and automobile traffic generated, giving residents and commuters a sense of dread because of the extreme disruption.
@Dragon-Power There are a couple other "black" times to be aware of and that you should not confused with Black Friday.
Black Monday: Many bad things have occurred on Mondays, such as in Dublin in 1209, when 500 settlers from Bristol were massacred. There is a whole "ambiguous term" wiki for this. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Monday
Black Tuesday: The Wall Street Crash of 1929 that set in motion America's Great Depression.
There are a few others, but "Black Friday" is the good one :).
@Dragon-Power Black refers to profits. As in profits on that day will be "in the black."
@deadkingdg Cyber Monday is more tame, but still lots of crowds as swarms of people come in for returns. And businesses are still trying to clear out the overstock that didn't sell. Still good deals, still big crowds, not as much Sparta.
@deadkingdg You should take a trip one year and join us in our decent into madness.
One of us...one of us...ONE OF US...
@BarkingSpider81 It's started to devour Thanksgiving now. Wal-Mart is open all day Thanksgiving, but the deals start at 6pm. Not to mention all the Pre-Black Friday sales they've had going since late last week.
I remember a time when you had to TRY to find a store that was open on Thanksgiving...
@filius32 I think that it's kinda the point. People spend a lot before Christmas, so the way to make them spend again is to make big sales.
@filius32 Yeah I guess America is a little better at marketing but who cares Europe is better.
@tonytones21 Or it could be the simple fact that there are rarely price drops for games on brand new consoles unless you're buying a bundle because it would be a lot of money lost. The games mentioned have already had their initial bursts of sales at release and since those consoles have had some of their momentum stolen it makes since to clear out as much of that stock as possible.
@OHGFawx This guy gets it.
@SSJ-Ma7 - God bless South Park
