@cyberslik - I apologise if any offense was taken from my comment to you. However, the comment wasn't meant to be a personal attack. By "your [little] world", I meant YOU, just as "my little world" is me, my friends, work place, etc. I don't know what you thought I meant. I also have no idea what you mean by "..one more personal attack like dat n u wont like me very much.." The whole point of the comment was that you obviously have played the original game (I guess on the PC in HD)...I haven't. You may not be interested in the new release, and therefore think this release unneccesary. I however am interested, as are others, going by some of the other comments made. Again, I apologise if my comment sounded like a personal attack. It wasn't.
@malverick its nice dat we all share our opinions here and share view point, but wen u start getting personal by call sumone's world small,as opposed to yur large one i assume?i would cross a line dat free speech doesnt hold jurisdiction.its a game,a remake, the pc version has hd graphics, its just to generate hype for the sequel,i didnt put a gun to yur head and ask u not to buy it.u want it?go get it,its not my money.but seriously one more personal attack like dat n u wont like me very much.dude u dnt even know me,n u gonnna jump the gun n say issh like dat?
@cyberslik - You may have played the original game, and therefore have no interest in this release, but please don't assume that others (outside of your own little world) share your sentiments. I never got to play this game the first time round, so I'm looking forward to it coming out.
@imaidiot wen did i stand to defend any of those titles?which cod comes out without upgrades?i can list differences between any two cod games that make dem standalone ips.i stand by Nintendo as a company of quality, mario will only be re release cus of bc or graphics improvements.dis hd release is unwarranted
@macca366 Not necessarily. I believe the reason that things look sharper and clearer on a computer monitor is because the distance between the pixels is less, hence you can fit more in less space. 1920x1080 pixels in 50 inch's of space, vs those same pixels in 22 - 24 inches of space means less blurriness. Also, the max resolution of the 360 and PS3 is fixed at 1920x1080p. No matter how hard you try, you can't make the textures look better than that, and the PC was able to do that and more when the game came out. Hence when he says they "re-did the textures and character models", that's marketing speak for "we used the original PC textures, re-sized them to 1920x1080p instead of 480p, and converted them to the console formats, but we wouldn't dare come out and say that"
Please everyone get this when it's released so Ubisoft get the sequel out. This is one of the best games ever made and it seems to me that Ubisoft are testing the water by doing this HD update seeing as it was over looked by everybody the first time around.
@stickiey I could be wrong, but wouldn't the textures and character models actually have been exactly the same as the console versions, only shown in higher resolution? The same way I can play any console game on my television, and then play it through my PC monitor with VGA cables and have it look much more noticeably crisper and sharp?
Those who have never played this game will be in for a treat. And yes he did say they re did textures but that is compared to the console version, like Avenger1234 said HD gaming is nothing new for us PC gamers.
This looks incredible! I've never played this game and now I see a very good reason to get it! ^_^ So, is this going to be an XBLA arcade game or will it have a disc release?
For everyone saying that it being in HD isn't different all to the original PC version, around 2:30 he clearly says that they re-did roughly 90% of the textures, worked on the character models and fixed the compression on the soundtrack. Either way, I'm glad I have another excuse to play this again. If a moment comes where I'm holding a sequel in my hands, I'll faint with glee
I couldnt even watch this video because of that guys' heavy accent. It literally grated on my nerves...
This game was absolutely fun to play and i had such a great time playing it. Defenitely one of my favourite games like ever. I just hope the sequel is as exciting.
it doesn't look any better than the PC version. i don't know why this is such a big deal. i suppose that more people people will get to play it so that's a bonus
@cyberslik This is the first re-release of this game, and it deserves to be re-released since so many missed it the first go round, and it is updated to HD. How many times has Mario and company been re-released with no upgrades? Madden and COD is released every year with hardly any upgrades...if you don't want to buy it, don't get it! Go back to playing COD 2010 until COD 2011 comes out, when those "people" milk you for another $60.
Awesome game for those who haven't played it...I will be getting it day one since my og xbox broke before I could finish it... But, the only thing I understood from that guy's interview was 'National Geographic'...everything else sounded French to me...lol.
I still don't quite understand what the imputed magic is to this game. It's not bad, but come on, it's not that superb either.
how much do these "people" think they can re-release and milk us for games we already played?wat next?the 3d release?how many time u gonna sell one game?
This was a great game but, honestly, I won't likely get this. I haven't really enjoyed the HD releases as much as I expected.
Looking forward to playing this again - and maybe they'll officially unveil BGE2's far into development come E3... Well, I can hope, right?
Beyond Good and Evil is a great game! Im glad they made an HD version of the game, but i dont have 360 or PS3...
