User Rating: 8.3 | Vay: Ryuusei no Yoroi SCD
GAMEPLAY: Fast and addicting game because of the speed in which the Hero is able to sprint across towns, caves and even the world map. This is also one of those games that has no loading time for battles or zones. One of the rare aspects about Vay is that it also does not have transitions going into battle or areas. That is, there is no flashy "glass breaking" effect you see as in Final Fantasy 10 or "swoosh" noise and screen that you see in FF7 while the battle gets started. When a random battle is to appear, it does so instantly without major pause.

BATTLES: It is very easy to level up because of the speed of the battles. The regular enemies tend to get very tough as you progress and the bosses are among the hardest in the RPG world unless you are over leveled.

EQUIPMENT: Traditional weapons and armor with accessories that add to all-important Wisdom and other attributes. Also useful items such as healing full HP or MP for party and the Lifestone which revives everybody with full HP and MP the moment they all die in battle.

STORYLINE: Classic avenge & rescue story. Contains plot twists and action-packed anime scenes. 8.5/10 for storyline.

GRAPHICS: Besides the good looking anime scenes that are included, these graphics are worse than most Genesis games! SOUND: Very bland sound effects, decent voice acting, and average music.

SOUND: Pretty poor sound effects but decent music. Not CD quality music but nice tunes nonetheless.

VALUE & TILT: The replay value is high because you won't be able to put it down when you are able to level and advance so quickly.

THE "IGNORING SCORES AND PUTTING IT IN WORDS" SEGMENT: I got a great storyline and fast/addicting battles out of this! The only negative thing I could say is about the lack of side quests or extras.
