Vampire Night Review

User Rating: 7 | Vampire Night PS2
Vampire Night is a Light Gun Shooter arcade game on the ye-olde PlayStation 2 console. It gives a definate nod to classic Sega arcade games, like THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD game series fame. Sega are mostly the masters of Light Gun Shooters; but, this time, Namco (Pac-Man, another light gun shooter game series called: Time Crisis) are responsible for this title. Whilst Vampire Night isn't exactly a shining star for innovative ideas in story or gameplay; Vampire Night has all the ingredients of a classic Light Gun Shooter Arcade Game, and cooks them in the game very well. Vampire Night contains all the classic details. When you are out of Ammo, the classic "Re-Load" voice will tell you to reload your gun in order to resume killing the vampires and dragons, etc. Even though the "Re-load" voice can sometimes be annoying, and is an endless cliche now, it still is charming to hear. Co-op mode is the most fun. The game gets more compettive and even more classic as you play.

Vampire Night, is not a breakthrough, but it never forgets what a classic Light Gun Shoother arcade game should be.
