By far the best 3D beat'em up available for any console but it didnt have any real competition anyways.

Urban Reign is a great 3D beat'em. The action and gameplay is really well done and the controls are superb as well. I was kind of skeptical when I heard there was strike/grapple/dodge button system but Namco has done a nice job with this control setup. The attacks really feel like they hurt and the enemy AI is quite good. I also like how there are many characters that you can play as. You play as Brad Hawk through the main story mode but you can play as any other character in the game in different battle modes. The challenge and free mode allow you to pretty much customize any battle scenario that you want from battle royale to a basic 2 on 2 fight. If there is any complaints that I have is that this game would have been really great if it had online play A very subpar beat'em up such as Spikeout even had that feature. Also the missions are a little repetitive and can be quite frustrating at times. It also would have been nice if this was a co-op game from the start in Story mode but still a minor point. If you are a beat'em up fan you will be pleasantly surprised at this title for it is the best 3D beat'em up so far.
