A mild dissapointment, but still a lot of fun to play.

User Rating: 7.1 | Urban Chaos: Riot Response XBOX
Edios and first time game devlopers Rocksteady Studios recently released this little game called "Urban Chaos: Riot Response". A game in which you take control of a single man, in a new riot/gang unit. The city has been attacked by terriorists and the gangs have now taken to the streets to claim the city as theres. Your job? Stop them at all costs.

The gameplay it's self isn't very strong. It's team options are a little weak, and the gunplay is as well. The controls don't always seem like they are all that they could or maybe even should be. BUT fortunely that doesn't distract from the game all that much.

The graphics in the game are a little dated. The character models, the textures, everything feels bland. It's not to say the game looks awful because it really doesn't. Some of the effects are nice (ie. The blood splatter against the wall) but the graphics as a whole aren't all that great.

The sound is a different story. The voice acting is decent, the guns are pretty powerful and boomy as they should be. The sound is definely not the dissapontment in this game.

Overall the game as a whole is average. It does a lot of things right, but then it also fails in some departments as well. If Edios and Rocksteady want to do a sequel they should focus on tightening up the controls and maybe adding an extra coat of paint to the graphics. In the end the game is average.
