This game was really one I thought highly of, at the time of the end of millenium.------------It's a scifi shooter on an alien planet with different alien species both evil and good. There are some peacefull inhabitants and there's the Skaarj, who is alittle bit close to the aliens in the predator movie.------------You have crash landed on a planet on your way to a prison planet. You are a prisoner and now you must survive.-----------The soundtrack really sets the vibe for each stage and helps on the immersion. -------------You will find different weapons of special technology and most of these weapons are current in Unreal Tournament 3 the latest in the franchise. The weapons are very cool. One shoots crystals or taridium and holds many shots. You can dual wield a set of guns. There is a rocket launcher that can fire up to 3 rockets in line . And not to forget the biogun which fires blobs of biochemical plasma that stick to a wall then explodes after awhile. And other powerful weapons aswell. ------------- Some of the stages requires a great deal of direction sense, you could end up going in circles. Some places you can swim at the risk of drowning, some places requires you to jump on ledges which is a bit hard. You will also be running over tight spots above lava-----------You get pieces of story every once in a while from dead crew members journals scattered throughout the planet.-------------Graphics are very well done and the water looks beautifull, Crystals glowing in the dark or red warning light pulsating.-----------Some enemies are fast and side rolls and shoots bolts, when entering melee they are painful and shred. Others die after many, many shots and fire rockets. There are nasty stuff hanging down from the ceiling that is alive and there are flying creatures too.--------------The natives of the planet have temples and speaks alien language, these are the only that are not hostile apart from a few harmless animals.--------------The ending is good and the last couple of stages is the best part of the game. I enjoyed unreal much more than halflife which was released in the same era..
