A fun, fast paced fighting game with a few setbacks.

User Rating: 7 | Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 X360
The first thing I want to convey is that this game is HARD. The AI is unpredictable, some combos are hard to pull off, it's just an insanely difficult game.

Another thing is that I've seen several bad ratings of this game. Most of them are just pointing out how difficult the game is; that's why I first said that this game is tough. If you don't take losing well, or you get frustrated easily, you may want to pass up on this one.

Now that those are out of the way, I'll begin.

I'm new to the Mortal Kombat games; besides one busted ROM I downloaded, this is my first Mortal Kombat game. I have to say, I'm satisfied. The fights are very fast paced, and you need different strategies for each character.

That's another major point of this game: the characters. Each of them have unique combos and specials, all of which are over the top. I found myself having a "Wtf did he just to me?" expression on my face during fights with certain characters. While many of the character models are just clones of one another, they each play differently.

Another high point is the achievements you can get. I recieved four achievements without even getting past the third character in Novice mode. You feel like you're working towards something. Plus, getting an achievement for performing a Babality (turning your enemy into a baby form of yourself) is just priceless.

In closing, this game is a fun, classic fighting game, where the biggest flaw is how ungodly difficult it is.
