Excellent game, but needed more features
Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 is an expansion on last summer's Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds. It is the same game, but with 12 new characters like Frank West, Ghost Rider, and Strider Hiryu to name a few, bringing the total to 48, 8 new re-imagined stages, and rebalanced gameplay, as well as spectator mode.
Some letdowns were the questionable character roster and lack of game modes. Some questionable characters were She-Hulk, Taskmaster, and Arthur. Were those characters really that much in demand? Characters that would've applealed to a wider audience would be Venom, Megaman, Guile, and Cyclops. Also, the lack of game modes is dissapointing, All you get is Arcade Mode, Verses Mode, Training, and Spectator Mode. You don't get Story Mode! Tournament and Story Mode would have given this game far more variety.

Overall, UMvC3 is a great fighting game with some nice enhancements at a steal for just 40 bucks, but with the lack of modes, this game doesn't offer much replay value. I recommend buying it only if you missed out on the first one.
