Twisted Metal 3 isn't a very good game in the twisted metal series there is just something the game seems to lack.
(-) lacks the fun the other twisted metals have, only a few decent music tracks, small selection of levels, weird car handling, makes Twisted Metal name look bad.
Twisted Metal 3 has a story mode in which you can pick a car to beat story with and an ally to help you if you want or a friend. You won't be able to see ending movies unless you beat the game on Twisted Metal difficulty. If you run out of lives you exit story mode and go to the mode choosing screen. Death match Mode is okay but, still seems to be lacking fun gameplay like story.
There are only a few decent music tracks in this game the only one I liked was the first levels tracks the others just seemed to get annoying after a little while. On top of that there are only like eight levels in this game which make the little bit of fun this game provides fade faster. Most of the controls in this game are good just that the handling for the cars is bad so that you practically have to stop to hit the other cars with weapons because of turning being difficult.
The graphics in this game are about average which isn't what made this game bad. There are a decent amount of cars you can play as in this game though and they all have different specialty's. If you are interested in this game you might want to rent it first because for a Twisted Metal game this one is not very good at all approach it with caution.
