This is a decent game but nothing super.

This game is a police game, where you play as an undercover detective. The first level is an introduction where you go into an apartment and start a shoot out with these gangstas. After you beat the level a skit will appear and your friend terry will talk to you. The next level will be your training as a cop and then the next will be your first couple of missions. After reaching a certain point you can then free roam the city. The City is a realisitic depiction of New York City, where you will get radio calls to various crimes, you can respond to these random calls or ignore them. Your Motorola phone has a map of the City showing the Crime Rates of various precincts by color: Red being the highest, green being the lowest (yellow and orange in between). Solving crimes in a certain precinct lowers that precinct's crime rate. You can also frisk people for drugs, weapons, stolen licenses, etc. and arrest them if they have anything (if innocent they will insult you). Your Character is named Marcus, by the way.

The main missions consist of going after certain criminal gangs. The first gang you have to take down is the Magdalena Cartel. After them you have three other groups that you go after, but you pick which order you get to take them down in. These groups are the Palermo Mob, The President's club (who dress like presidents on the various dollar bills such as Franklin, Grant, Lincoln and Hamilton) and the Shadow Tong.

You can go about your business in two ways: as a good cop or a bad cop. Certain actions (such as headshots and running civilians over) will give you bad cop points. Other actions (like uses neutralizing shots- to the limbs-) will get you good cop points. At the end of the game the final mission has two variants: one if you have more bad cop points, and one if you have more good cop points.

You also have side missions that you can do for informants like The King (Your character's father who is a gang leader), A Cabbie, and Madam.

This is an interesting game. I liked the new york city atmosphere, and the graphics were decent enough. There are also plenty of shops to go where you can buy cars, weapons and food. There are also boxing and martial arts schools where you can go and learn some fighting moves. It's a decent game, and I bet you can now purchase it for a fairly good price.
