True Crime:New York City is easily one of the best games of recent memory.You play as Marcus Reed, a former gangster, whos gone straight and become a cop.I am absolutly serious here: you start the game shooting other gang members on CHRISTMAS DAY 2000(happy birthday Jesus heres some sacrifices).But besides all that this game unbelieveable. I wasnt sure just how much i was in love with it until driving at full speed and taking out some poor guys legs, and by the way I call him Legless Joe. On yet another positive note the game is GORGEOUS. Everything looks beatiful so all you can really do is stare in awe as you drive full speed down New York streets in the pouring rain. The physics are also done with extreme detail. If you are driving in the rain you will notice it becomes more difficult to stay in control of your vehicle. Also if your driving to fast and hit the front of another car the poor sucker will fly out of his windshield. Solving street crimes are optional but will help or hurt your good cop bad cop rating so don't go to crazy with your guns.I had only one complaint with the game and it comes from the very begining. After your done shooting gang members you immediatly go to training to become a cop. It just didn't seem right to go from the great action at first to training. Other than that however, this is terrific. Easily worth your money and will likely be a top seller come Christmas time.Play it now. Suck it hoes.
