As a fan of the original Tropico, Tropico 3 builds on all the elements of the previous game while updating the graphics and the sound. The game is so easy to get into and quite intuitive. The in game commentary is quite entertaining. Tropico gives you a certain pleasure when you see your created country prospering. I like the different edicts that you can enact and the fact that you are always kept busy with things to decide. Also choices that you make early in the game can have a long term impact later on in the game, For example if you build a high school early on and then later on you don't have enough money to buid factories the highly educated will be unhappy with you also if you build all your tenements and apartments and don't leave future space for a police station then that can affect your ability to control crime. My only gripe with the game is that sometimes it's difficult to line up the roads and that takes some tweaking. This is a great game and once you pick it up you won't put it down.
