Again with the film video games? Is it better than the previous title?

User Rating: 5.5 | Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen PS2
The sequel to the 2007 film Transformers, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and the game is, more of the same of it's somewhat predecessor, with some added touches, to some extent...

Story: 6.5 (Same story as the film, different with the Decepticon perspective of course, which does it's part, nothing more.)
Graphics: 7.5 (Better than the previous title on current gen consoles, although the graphics appear "animated" and stylized on the PlayStation2 and Nintendo Wii versions.)
Music: 6 (Nothing really interesting.)
Controls: 5 (You have the hold a trigger to keep your character in their alternate transformation! That makes no sense! But also the controls are still repetitive despite some several changes.)
Sound: 5.5 (Voice work is still below average or worse, and the effects sound like what you would expect/know.)

The story continues from the previous title, the Autobots are secretly working with the government to "keep the peace" and stop the Decepticons from doing any wrong...then the Decepticons steal a piece of the AllSpark and use it to bring back Megatron (and certain body parts)...The story expands with the film throughout the game until the end (Autobots win or Decepticons win, your choice from the start).

The game-play, is indeed some-what better than the previous game, but very inferior compared to some of the other platform versions. As this ONLY has the campaign and co-operative play, that is it. This is all it has to offer. In a simple way, the game-play is the same, repetitive and eventually dull. Some fans of the series may enjoy this, and certain children, otherwise, this has nothing new to bring, just a product for promoting the film.

I recommend you do not get this unless you're certain you want it, otherwise just ignore this title.
