I've been playing this game for about 10 months now, I'm a big texas hold'em fan. I was looking for a game that wasn't online, so I could take it with me on my laptop away from home and still play poker with a bunch of decent players. Everyother offline game I tried was terrible. Whether it was corny characters, horrible AI, very limited experience or any combination of the three. This game was exactly what I was looking for. The more I played the more I liked it, not only were the players smart and hard to predict, but the pure size of the tournaments you could join was unbelievable. You can join in on the WSOP 2004 event with 2,000+ people, or you can make your own tournament up to 5,000. The game features a profile that keeps track of all your earnings and losings and your net earnings from every tournament played. Unlike other poker games, you have to sit through all the players monotonous betting, you can turn the speed of the gameplay up very high, 1 tenth of a second per AI decision I believe. Also, there's a feature to auto-skip to the end if you fold a hand, so you don't have to watch the computer go back and forth without you in the game. You can literally play a hand every 5-10 seconds, or fly through a bunch of ugly hands in a matter of seconds just by folding. If you like poker, this game is for you. It's fun, and you'll even become a better player because of it. I found a demo of this game online, and then found it at Circuit City for under $20. There's a sequel coming out soon, I'll be waiting anxiously for that one :)
