Game done for the gamers

Sorry it looks like paragraph breaks are not working ________ ____________ __________________ ______ If you aren't familiar with Torchlight, it's okay. You chose a class, killed lots of bad guys, and saved the day while loot fell from the sky. Nothing atypical of your classic dungeon crawler. However, everything it did, it did right. Itemization, drop rates, skill sets, and combat were just a joy to experience. The biggest downside was that I wanted to play with my friends, but I couldn't because it was single player only. This was everyone's biggest complaint.______ __________________ ____ __________ ___ Fast forward to Torchlight 2 - Runic delivered. Everything that made Torchlight so polished was implemented into Torchlight 2. Only now, there's the addition of multiplayer just like the players wanted. In fact, you can play alongside 5 friends simultaneously._________ _____ _______ _________ ________The graphics have been updated significantly from Torchlight. Lighting is improved, character models are sharper and more detailed. Weapons look fantastic and the animations are well done. Characters move fluently and quickly compared to other dungeon crawlers, so it may take some getting used to. All in all, it looks great. Mind you, this graphic style is very different from Diablo 3, but given the budget difference between the old Blizzard and new Blizzard, it does the job just fine._____ ___________ _____________ ___________ ______ But who plays these games for the graphics alone? The loot is where the money is (no pun intended). Torchlight 2 does that better than most on the market. There are myriad upgrades as you level, which include set items and socket pieces. This is not your dumbed down core stat itemization either. There are so many builds that work in Torchlight 2, and the items/set bonus tailor to your playstyle. If you want strong pets, farm gear with +pet/minion speed, get gems with +attack power for pets, etc. If you want to focus on ranged, they have ranged bonus sets, gems with +% ranged damage.____ _____ ___________ ________ ________ _______You truly get the sense that your character is getting stronger as you level and you can tailor the gear to your personal build. That's what makes this game so much fun.________ ________ _________ ________ _______ _______To top it off, you don't have to spend 25-30 hours farming for an upgrade to your character at max level (or as you level). The good drops are very fair (some would argue too easy), however the upgradable items for your specific class or build may still take adequate time to achieve._____ ______ ________ ________ ________ _______Don't like auction houses to make your characters stronger? Me either. Torchlight 2 has no economy, which means no botters, no 3rd party messages, no WTS threads. You want an item? Play with 5 people and you'll see the community is willing to share with one another. Your in game gold is still used for enchanting items, buying from the gambler (have a chance to get very rare items), and buying various potions/scrolls/spells etc.______ _______ _____ _________ _______ _______ _______I can go on about this game but it's a game you should definitely try if you are a fan of the genre. You will not be disappointed, and if you aren't into the online thing there is no "online only" requirement to enjoy this masterpiece of a game. Plus, at $20, it's a steal.
