lag, lag, and more lag

User Rating: 7.4 | Top Spin PS2
Topspin on the xbox was an excellent game. It had great graphics, gameplay, and sound. The ps2 version, however, translates quite poorly. The graphics have been lessened of course, and the gameplay is more or less the same. The gameplay is hampered down with major framerate issues quite frequently, especially during clay matches. "Hey, I didn't know that I put on a slow motion code, oh, wait.....". The other big thing is the decrease in sound quality. The xbox version had this nice popping sound when you hit the ball. Now you can barely hear the player grunt. I had to play it though because it was so good when I played it on xbox. Tennis fans will likely enjoy it if they are able to play through the slow frames. It's the best tennis game on the ps2, and at least its more complex than virtua tennis. That was way too arcade-y.
