This was a solid game. I really hope SK fixes some of the glaring problems and releases the next game that includes 4 player coop. Coming back to reality its probably not going to happen.

this is one of those love and hate games for me. I really enjoyed some of the game then just hated the rest. The Rpg elements are good like customization, leveling, and equipment and some of the combat was fun but the rest of the game is just like ???. I think it totally had potential to be good but SK just failed.

This game is awesome once you figure out how to play it properly. It is a difficult game and can be frustrating at first, but once I got the hang of it I found it to be quite fun and still play it once in a while.

    cool story... SHOCKING GAME!
I don't know whether i just suck at the game, but i died countless times and the death scene was AS BAD as the atari ET scene.

This game is AWESOME. I loved this game because of its fast action gameplay that never gets old. I have the full 1000 achievement points in this game and it was blast the whole time. I'm not sure why the review was so harsh...please try this game...it was a LOT of fun. Great game Silicon Knights!

I played this recently out of sheer curiosity. BAD IDEA.
The single-player campaign was horribly imbalanced (sometimes broken) and the controls were often infuriatingly inaccurate.
Also, seeing Baldur DIE regularly (often due to camera/control issues) was a real DOWNER, even if it was intended by design.

I would not recommend this game to anyone. AVOID.

I love Norse mythology. This is not a good tribute.

@Chaotic19 I agree with you, Norse Mythology is really neglected in someway. When I was still in HS, my instructors would talk all day about Romans and Greek Mythologies but when they arrive at the Norse Mythology discussion they have little knowledge about it. It was then later on when I tried googling it on the internet and found out how rich this culture is. Also, one of the great games that used Norse Mythology is the Valkyrie Profile Series..

Played it, loved the first 30 minutes of it. But after that everything was pretty dull. The controls were a major problem, but aside from the norse elemants, I didn't really get into the story and that was the main reason I just totally forgot about this title. @lonewolf
I disagre with you. It almost sounds like your speaking from the perspective of someone who is ignorant of Roman, Greek, and Egyptian mythology.

While I do think that Greco-Roman culture is richer and better, I do agree that norse mythology has been neglected somewhat, as there is just so much to it and yet so little of it we see in games and other mediums.

this review was utter rubbish, the game was amazing compated to what this dude said. I was waiting and waiting for this game and it did not disappoint. Sure its got a completely unique control system but I saw NO downers other than that, the game had a steep learning curve but then it didn't matter if you died now did it?? some people make me sick. if this game had gotten slightly more favourable reviews it would have made enough money to continue the franchise. I still hope the trilogy will be made.

I played the demo and loved it....gamespot is unfair.....the dieing sequence isnt that bad since it gets you in back in the game quickly and the enemies that you shot at are still damaged from your last attacks....kinda like bioshock

First off I'm sad to say I didn't play this game because of the reviews it received but I just downloaded it a couple days ago. Now I have something to say to Silicon Knights "My Bad This Game Is Awesome !!!". I can easily say this review is complete BS!!!!! He obviously really sucks at the game not to mention he is nit piking at the smallest things that don't matter. Why complain about having to fix your gear ? Its an RPG that's part of the game but if you have actually played the game you would know that you find so many weapons and armor drops that it doesn't matter. Just swap weapons or armor pieces and your fine. The weapons and armor in this game by the way are extremely EPIC and make your character look very BAD @SS !!! The controls are different at first but once you get used to them that's when the real fun starts. Destroying waves of enemy's at lightning speeds (once your upgraded and have descent gear) never gets old. It does suck you cant skip the death scene but its not nearly as bad as what he makes it sound.

I gave this game a 8/10 and strongly suggest people who haven't played it to give it a try.
