Too Human Behind the Scenes With Dennis Dyack
Dennis Dyack talks about the RPG elements in Too Human.
i loled so hard at the windows vista commercial i almost couldnt watch the movie. it looks like it could be good. kinda like a souped up version of star wars knights of the old repulic. or it could suck so bad im gonna have to kill myself. :D
Well that was... wierd... They did all this for an Xbox360? Calling it a Goblin? Didn't understand most of this movie... NVM
no not necessarily people wont belive this because it is too sifi they don't want to believe that back then humans were as smart or even smarter than we are now the reason i am skeptical is that they were saying it was better than humans and chess and like go or whatever the game is but they never showed a video of the goblin man in action
to bad the end is fake if something like that really did happen it would be all over the news and we would be trying to duplicate this kind of tec
no it's not a fake documentary... it's a short short movie... and i am pretty sure the man is not speaking norse... it actually sounds faroese (my native language) but im not sure because of bad prenounciation but i understand quite alot what he is saying
man i'm so happy they got a crappy review!! I was so scared that this junker of a game was going to be carried by it's hype like halo3. I just hope M$ relizes that games aren't all about space suits and aliens. Next up junker game isssssss Fracture, mark my words, well unless lucas arts wants to prove me wrong and puts alot of resources into it.
That "movie" bit on the end seems pretty staged to me. It's one of those "Viral Marketing" things no doubt, like that "iLoveBees" schtick for Halo 3. Personally, I don't get that stuff, a game will succeed or fail on its own merits, regardless of the weird and strange internet hoopla you might make about it.
Good point pbego abouth the scoreboard heh, I'm kind of thinking that this documantary might come on the disc with the game. ( at least maybe the CE) But if nothing else part 3 will probably be released the same day as the game. I think the only thing this game really has in common with Oblivion might be a inventory system for your character. Besides general exploration, most of which seems to be indoors I think this game has more in common with hack 'n slashers like Diablo and loot gathering games like Wow. I am mostly just interested in a good story, (which I am REALLY hoping this game is full of) and from what I've seen here and there it looks to be heavily story drivin. I've always been a fan of Greek mythos though and Norse mythology has always been interesting to me as well. And I really like the approach they are taking in telling the story of Baldur using technology as the medium.
Yes, nicely-done mock-umentary. One other point is that at the end -- if the hockey rink is in Norway, why does the scoreboard say "Home" "Visitors" and "Points" -- this is clearly a North American (US or Canadian?) hockey rink. But still, makes me want to see more of it (I guess I'll have to buy the game, right?) Only thing is -- I'm not sure I'm excited about the game. I love Oblivion and if they capture some of that style, it would be great. But the combat looks more like God-of-War style finger twitching, not my favorite style. But then, there is the Goblin Man...
Well after some further seaching it looks like this IS just a hyped up ad campaign by SK for Too Human. http://taisteal.atomiclemur.com/2008/08/is-the-goblin-man-of-norway-real/ (they point out some pretty funny facts about the Vids, Like the fact that the Doc was supposed to have been made in 99' but in one part of it there is a toyota Prius in the driveway of someones house lol.) If Bungie had not done something like this before I would have probably not second guessed it.... much hehe. But still, it is a pretty cool Documentary and on a much more "believeable" level than the Halo 3 ads. Here is the actual site with the Documentaries in 3 parts. http://www.norwegianfilmcommittee.org/en/home.html Well parts 1 & 2 that is, looks like part 3 will be realeased just in time to coincide with the Too Human release. What a coincidence eh? Now there is actually SOME truth behind this 'Goblin of Norway'(I think) but how much is beyond me.
dude, this is for real, look it up on youtube for the rest of the parts, theres 3 parts to this documentary - pretty interesitng stuff actually
Ok so.... Is this a fake documentary that is tied into Too Human in some way like the Docs they did before Halo 3 came out or is this a REAL Documentary? Whatever it is I REALLY want to know more! And I am really suprised that there are no comments in this section about it. Someone please tell me what is up with this lol.
