Old-school Classic. That's all I have to say.

User Rating: 8 | Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 PC
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 one of the greatest games of all time. It is obviously a classic, with the game still being widely played almost 11 years from its original release date. In this review, I will describe to you the gameplay, controls, graphics, audio, replay value and other features of this game which make it an all time classic, a game still played in the year of 2011.

First of all, the main feature of this game that attracts people, and thus, popularity, is the Career Mode. To put it simply, what the player does in Career Mode is that they, or you, take on the role of a professional skater, say, Tony Hawk, for example. You then play a level, and complete certain missions in a time limit of two minutes for money rewards. Yes I know what you're thinking right now... If you complete, say, only 2 out of 10 missions on your first two minute run, then they will be saved, and you will only have 8 missions to do. You don't have to redo them all. With the money gained, the player, or you, can purchase higher statistics which better the ability of the skater you choose, new tricks, or new skateboards or skateboard parts. There are many levels, each level has its own tasks, and as you progress further in the game, the tasks, obviously, get harder and harder.

Goals including getting a certain high score, executing ramp-to-ramp transfers etc.

Other tasks in Career Mode is the entry of competitions. There are 3 competitions in career mode, and they are judged based on how well you perform during the one minute time limit.

You can play as many different professional skaters, so it will take a while to completely finish the whole game. And by while, I mean, forever. But, aye, don't get me wrong, it's really good fun, especially when your main purpose is to pass the time.

You can also use cheats. I know it's a bit "nooby", as some would put it, but some of the effects of the cheats make the game great fun sometimes.

A new introduction into Pro Skater 2 was the introduction of Nose Manuals and Manuals. Just a bit of trivia.

Anyway, moving on.

The controls of this game on the PC are easy to learn and memorise. It uses the WASD keypad and the number pad on the right side of most keyboards. I obviously won't go too in-depth into them here, but I will say that it is quite simple to learn the controls of the game on the PC.

Graphics of the game are of the standards of 2000. They are 11 years old (at the time this review was written) so obviously, don't expect high-quality graphics. The graphics are so-so for the standards of the year 2000.

Audio is clear, the soundtrack is relevant to the topic of the game, and effects of the skateboard, or the player falling down are quite crisp and clear.

Replay value. Well it's good fun playing career mode, especially when you're revisiting the game after you haven't played it for a while. You can also build your own skaters, however, if you don't like creating things, then I recommend that you don't build your own skater.

Money for value. Ummm, well this is hard. I haven't seen this game for sale for a long long time. So, some people download this game from the internet, I've seen the game vary in size, but a .iso file of this game will be around 600-700MB? I'm not too sure as I haven't actually downloaded it myself, I bought it when it first came out in stores.

The reason that this game is a classic is because it revolutionised all skating games - it made the Tony Hawk series the most dominant game in the skating category. I encourage you people reading this to somehow obtain this classic game, and take a look at the game that put the Tony Hawk series in front.
