Great all around game.

Another great entry in the Splinter Cell franchise. Sam is back to kick some ass. And you can do it 3 different ways. Ghost Panther, and Assault. All 3 styles have their pros and cons, of course, but they actually play and feel different. Some of the levels make you play a certain style, but that pushes you to try out each one.

When you go in, guns blazing in Assault mode, everyone knows you're there. This style uses non-suppressed weapons and explosives. That can be a good and a bad thing. Explosives are fun. The armored suit parts let you take more damage, but you can still die, so you need to use cover and your last known location wisely. Some levels you need to be stealthy, for if the alarm is raised more reinforcements arrive. Some levels you can't kill anyone in, so assault is the least viable of the three. I personally like to use this style on the Charlie side missions, where you fight waves of enemies.

My favorite style, Panther,is all about sneaking around and killing everyone. Leave no witnesses, right? This style uses stealth, suppressed weapons, and the Karambit knife. The benefit to this style is obviously stealth. You can slaughter everyone and none of them even notice. The knife is my favorite weapon in the game, letting you get close and personal to your enemies before ending there lives. Just because your weapon is suppressed doesn't mean that enemies can't hear it if they are close enough. I used this style for the campaign and for the Kobin side missions. In these side missions you are to eliminate all enemies, and if you are detected reinforcements arrive.

The Ghost. Unseen and unheard is what it's all about. This style relies heavily on stealth, and non-lethal weapons and gadgets. You do get more points for not even touching enemies, so you don't need to go knock everyone out. If you can avoid an enemy, then do so. There are plenty of gadgets that help with this. The crossbow and tri-rotor should be at the top of your list to get in the early stages of the game if this is how you are going to play. Some enemies are resistant to some of your non-lethal gadgets, so be warned. This is the style I use for the Grim side missions, where you are to go in and out of the level unnoticed.

If you have played any previous Splinter Cells, I would recommend this one. If you've played any other stealth games like Metal Gear Solid or Deus Ex:Human Revolution, I would recommend this game.
