You need a good attitude going into it to enjoy it.

User Rating: 8.2 | Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3 PS2
Rainbow Six 3 is a tactical shooter. You command a squad and issue orders to them. If you think its just another FPS, then you are going to be very surprised, if not dissappointed.

Gameplay: In single-player, your are supposed to fight terrorists that are threatening the OPEC and hurting Saudi Arabian relations with the U.S. The story isn't too complex, but it does fit in, and it gives you a pretty good motivation to fight the terrorists. There are 20 something missions that usually involve rescuing hostages or disarming bombs. There are some others but most of them have those, along with killing terrorists, of course. The game is pretty hard, even on the easiest difficulty. If you learn you to utilize your team, it makes it much easier to complete though. Your team can do things like open doors, through grenades and other basic commands. The good thing is that they usually kill the bad guys pretty quickly. The AI is very inconsistent though. Sometimes its really good, and other times it is terrible. Your team actually helps you. There is splitscreen, which is ok, but there is also multiplayer. I haven't played it much, but there aren't too many people on anymore, and the people that are on are really really good. In the entire game, you need to use strategy, or you will definately be killed. Graphics: The graphics are good. The environments are a little bland, but they aren't bad either. The people look pretty good too. Its not bad, but it isn't the greatest.

Sound: The sound is awesome. The guns sound very good. They all sound distinct and crisp. The music is a mix between James-bond and some great orchestra sounds. It fits the game great. The voice acting is just as good too. There are some humor spots here and there. I can' find a flaw with the sound.

Value: With singleplayer, split, and online, this game will last you a while. You can boost up the diffuculty on singleplayer, which will add a lot of value, because the game is so hard. Its worth a buy. This game is great. It is a good mix of strategy and action. It definately grows on you too. I just can' wait for Vegas.
