High points: Awesome assault-planning and mapping features that allow you to see 2D and 3D representations of areas before you actually even send your squads in! Great array of weapons to choose from, covering the gamut from reconnaissance to heavy weapons. You can be as meticulous or as general as you want to be with your orders, and there are quick-start options for those who would rather not plan to the very last detail. You don't have to worry about getting lost, because a HUD that follows your planned path is always available. Good tutorial. Low points: Soldiers not under your control have a bad habit of not taking cover and not reacting to obvious attacks. This game does have a very high learning curve, and you've probably already learned the hard way on several missions before you really start to get the hang of it.
