HAWX is a fun game if you like blowing stuff up with airplanes.

User Rating: 8.5 | Tom Clancy's HAWX PS3
In the beginning of HAWX it is the year 2014. You play as David Crenshaw, who was a former pilot of the U.S. Air Force. The Air Force deactivated the HAWX squadron and now you work for a private military company called Artemis.

There are 19 missions in the game. In these missions you will be doing things like protecting cities and other valuable targets, and there are also bombing missions. There is a pretty good variety of missions and the scenarios look great. Some of the places include Rio de Janeiro, Chicago, and Los Angeles. The game seems pretty short and it isn't that hard even on elite difficulty but it is still fun to go back to missions and earn awards and level up. You unlock new airplanes and weapons as you level up. There is also a free flight mode where you can choose a location and test out your airplanes.

There are plenty of airplanes in HAWX that are all rated on air-to-air, air-to-ground, speed, and handling. The weapons are really cool too, like the radar guided missles and free falling bombs.

There are some really cool features in this game like the E.R.S. (Enhanced Reality System), which highlights a path in the air that helps you intercept the enemy. The "Assistance Off" mode is a lot of fun to use, it pulls the camera back really far so you can see all the enemies around you and it helps a lot when you have an enemy on your tail or you need to evade a missile.

HAWX is a fun arcade style flight game. I recommend it if you like blowing stuff up with airplanes. If you are a fan of Ace Combat, give this game a shot, it's a lot shorter than the Ace Combat games but the gameplay is pretty much the same.
