Feels a bit like PS2

So HAWX2 hit shelves today.............. Bargain bin tomorrow.

Single player campaign is a bit choppy. The ground visuals are awesome but the airplanes are missing that realism that one would expect after "Ace Combat 6". The nice thing though is that there are lots of checkpoints so you don't have to restart from the beginning of a mission if you crash and burn.

Multiplayer is hard!!!!! I would re-spawn and be shot down within 5 seconds, not my idea of fun. Also there is only the sound of your own cockpit in the plane...... no sound as other planes fly by or thins exploding around you.

The controls are ok. I found it a bit touchy trying to level out to land. The six-axis control (tilt the remote where you want the plane to go) sounds like a great idea however....... if you pull up and it doesn't register and you have to try to get the remote in a position to try and pull up again without the plane moving. (not sure if that makes any sense but I don't know how else to explain it!)

Altogether this release would have been great for the PS2 as it is, but it just doesn't feel like a next generation game. If you can, save your money and wait for a new "Ace Combat" to be released (rumored for the PS3)
