I haven´t expected much from this game. I have been a fan of Ghost Recon series since the first game and was disapointed to see the series dumbing down for poor console folk. I mean 3rd person? Why? The game meets my expectations in that regard. Nearly everything has been dumbed down and we have a tunnel shooter instead of tactical one. When in GRAW you could kill like 10-20 tough enemies during the mission, here you pile up something around 100 bodies each mission. Call that realistic combat simulation... However the game retained at least some tactics and it is usually preferable to scout ahead and plan your moves. Well executed sync shots or stealthy cleaning of the area feels rewarding. The missions are quite well designed, and although first 2 or 3 missions are somewhat poor, the rest is quite enjoyable. The story becomes clear and you can have that "saving the world" feeling :). I had more fun with this than I had with latest Call of Duty!
Pros: nice lengthy campaign, some entertaining mechanics as drone or sync shot Cons: numerous bugs in PC version (update it at least to 1.2 to play), dumbing down of the series, few stupid scripted sequences, console port, arcade feel
Overall: Good
