This game should have never come out, the graphics are decent, but overall a poor shooter shadowing the famed GR series.

User Rating: 3.5 | Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon 2 PS2
This game is definitely one of the worst shooters that I've played on the PS2. The graphics are decent, I will give it that, but everything else could use some work. First of all, we have the single player campaign, this mode should be completely ignored by anyone who's ever played a SOCOM or Rainbow Six game, it's horrible. The glitches that I've found in the environments to date are far too many to count and some of them halted me from completing mission after mission. With such bad animations and physics effects, GR2 should have never been allowed to compromise this fantastic shooter series. I would take the original GR game over this anyday because at least you could move within your surroundings. With every step you take in this game you get caught up on something or your character doesn't react to your control. The weapons are alright, and I say that loosely. The effects and recoil from the weapons aren't realistic and the enemies don't respond realistically at all. If only the game showed some more improvement in the detail department, it could earn a few extra points. The loading times are actually the real disappointment on this PS2 version however, because even the extremely patient won't be able to handle waiting for a game this bad to load, no one will want to play it that bad.
