The ghost strikes...with a kick to the groin

User Rating: 5.5 | Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon 2 PS2
Ghost Recon 2: Supposedly a revolutionary game (two different versions of it, new weapons/technology, etc.), but to me, it was a bigger letdown than when I found out Ace Combat 5 wouldn't have online play. As a matter of fact, the only thing that makes this game searching for in the bargain bin is the online play. It's one of those "The Socom servers took a dump today, what else do I have that's a PS2 online shooter that isn't Rainbow Six 3 or Battlefield 2?" type of games. The graphics were kinda blurry, and this game really had nothing overly-exciting about it. I've had maybe 1-3 good online sessions, and the rest were 17 year old kids bitching about the weapons people were using, or 38 year old men doing much of the same, or yelling at the kids for doing so. The people online are annoying, of course, but if you can manage to ignore the people, or get in a room with people you know, it's not so bad. Still, a much better game would be Socom. I would reccommend buying this game as a $3 "bored day" game. Definitely not a good 'Clancy' game. I reccommend Rainbow Six 3 instead.

Cloudy graphics, bad and uninspired gameplay, and a lame inability to see your weapon in 1st person mode totally slayed this game
