Tokobot is not something I would call a great game but it is worth the money if you have nothing better to do...

Tokobot is sort of a puzzle/jump & run combination. You basically have these little robots following you that are called tokobots. You can use them to hook onto magnetic edges or go into propeller form and hover from platform to platform. You can also use them to smash enemies and stuff like that. So the game is basically dodging or killing enemies, solving puzzles and getting through levels safely with the help of your little tokobots.
You also have these advanced combinations that can turn you into stuff like a crane or a catapult if you do it in certain spots, which allow you to solve different kinds of puzzles. Some of these combinations can also turn you into some kind of weapon wielding robot thing, but I still haven't used those and I'm almost done with the game. These combinations have to be unlocked during the game and they cost parts to activate. You find these parts throughout the levels or get them from enemies.
You often end up doing a lot of the same stuff during the game but the puzzles and levels do vary enough to keep it from being boring. In my opinion, this game is just on the verge to being boring, and it does get boring from time to time. You have to go back to previous levels every once in a while because you unlock new combinations which allow you to get passt parts which you couldn't get past before. The boss fights are the best part in the game, but usually not too challenging. The game can be frustrating at times, but you get better wth every try.

With the gameplay explained, I can move on to the graphics.
The graphics are not great at all, but they aren't bad. All the levels look very square. There aren't many levels but they vary enough, so thats not really a problem. The style of the game is unique but not great. I really don't know what else to say about the graphics. They are not what make this game good, period.

The sound of the game is quite good. The only thing I don't like is the fruity music in the main menu, but that can be overlooked right? The sounds tend to get a little annoying later in the game. Everytime you jump or execute some kind of move you always here the "HEPP" or "HAA" from your guy which gets annoying eventually. But usually you have to concentrate a lot more on the environment than anything else while playing this so you wont really notice it most of the time.

Honestly, I am glad this game only cost 30 dollars. It's the perfect price. Not too much and not too little. I doubt I will play through this game again, so this game's replay value isn't very good. I might play it again in a year or so when I'm bored, but not any time soon. Once you beat it, you unlock a mode that will let you play through the entire game again against a ticking clock. Not my kinda thing. I hate timelimits, but that's just me.

All in all this game is not worth getting if you can just rent it. It's not very long and you will probably not want to play through it again right away. If you on vacation and are bored, this is worth the 30 dollars if you play it from time to time.

A solid game in general.
