An extraordinary piece of story telling.

This game is all about it's story. At first it's simplistic gameplay and basic graphics left me wondering if that was all there was - but the story gradually draws you in and envelops you. It's not the most original plot; definitely borrowing ideas from the classic film Citizen Kane and the more recent Memento - but it is certainly very unusual to see a story like this told so effectively in the medium of a computer game. The music deserves a special call-out - it is possibly one of the best scores I've heard in a computer game, and all the more remarkable given the budget. The main themes recurr throughout - a level of repetitiveness that I would ordinarily find annoying - but it this case the music is just so beatiful and appropriate and moving that this did not happen. This game is definitely not for arcade and action junkies - but if you like a good story, you should definitely give this one a try.
