A mediocre game, a rent before you buy for sure.

Another Teenage Mutant Turtles game. Kinda similar to Super Smash Brother Melee by the sound right? Not as good unfortunately. TMNT for the SNES was a good game, this isn't near as good as that. The graphics are ok, the gameplay is boring, the sound sucks (the theme music isn't even there). Fortunately it's only $20. Gameplay 6/10 It's cool that they have the Melee part in this game so you can battle against other players, but the battles are just not that cool. There aren't enough combos, and often it doesn't matter if you use a combo or not. Also it really doesn't make any sense to me why you can't have a 4 player adventure. I think they should have made this game more like the TMNT for SNES along with the melee battle mode and they would have had a hit. Consoles are begging to have 4 player adventures and this game disappoints by not providing that. One thing that really bugs me is the blocking. A guy blocking Leonardo's swords with his arm and it doing no damage. Whatever. There is one cool thing and is that you can go to the library and learn about the Turtles and how they came into being and the fact that you have to unlock things to get to some of them. Graphics 6/10 Looks kinda cool with the cel shading, but not as good as say X-men legends. The graphical effects of things just aren't very crisp or interesting either. The rooftop on one of the first few stages is an example of that. Sound 6/10 No TMNT theme music, and the music there just isn't that good. Value 7/10 It's only $20, although you get what you pay for Tilt 5/10 I love the whole TMNT thing but this did not live up to my expectations by a long shot.
