While the game suffers from repetitive gameplay and some quirky game mechanics, it is a classic style RPG of great merit

Titan Quest Gold (hence force referred to simply as titan quest), is an action RPG in the top down mouse heavy diablo tradition. However, is very much a game of this decade, featuring real time day and night cycles, advanced lighting, great animations, and ragdoll physics. In that sense, Titan Quest's gameplay feels like it's from another era, but it's engine feels very up to date. This can make a for a very engaging experience if you're looking for an old school action RPG to get addicted to for a while. The game looks great, sounds great, and packs in hours of gameplay and fun, as it features three levels of difficulty meant to be unlocked and played in order to get even better loot, and online play which is very fun if you have friends playing the game with you on skype and whatnot. All of this set in ancient greek times to accurate mythology (for the most part).

That being said, the gameplay is incredibly repetitive, none of the characters are at all memorable, and certain game mechanics simply feel counter intuitive. For example, the randomized loot system is fun, but i really dont want to spend 50 hours completing a suit of armor which by that point is utterly useless. The game demands a massive time requirement which I am not always willing to yield. Also, the system of collecting relic shards to enchant armor and the inability to enchant rare armor (which is usually the best) is very frustrating.

Overall I would reccomend this game to fans of action rpgs, but fans of different types of RPGs (The Elder Scrolls) or shooters and RTS' may find this game tough to get into.
