Tiny Toon Adventures 2 is a very good sequel, but it suffers from being a tad too short.

User Rating: 7.5 | Tiny Toon Adventures 2: Montana Land e Youkoso NES
The original Tiny Toon Adventures game on the NES borrowed elements from the Mario games to make a solid platformer from Konami that proves that not all games based on TV shows or movies are as bad as some people take them out to be. Don't get me wrong. Most of them are bad, but this isn't the case. After the success of the first game, Konami made a sequel to the original game based on the hit cartoon series by film legend Steven Spielberg.

Tiny Toon Adventures 2: Trouble in Wackyland, takes place obviously enough, in a amusement park. Buster and friends were invited to go to the park by a mysterious person, whom they guess is the owner. What they don't realize is that the owner is Montana Max, the greedy brat from the TV series, and he has rigged the amusement park with traps, and it's up to the Tiny Toons to conquer each ride in order to get to the funhouse, where Montana Max waits.

Instead of a straight on platformer like the original game, the folks at Konami decided to go a different route. The game includes a level select system and only one of the levels isn't a platformer (the bumper car stage). In each level, you play as a certain character. In the bumper car stage, you play as Plucky Duck. In the roller coaster stage, you play as Babs Bunny. On the train stage, you play as Hamton Pig, and the list goes on.

However, the number of stages leads to the game's main flaw. The game is shorter than the original game, and can be finished in two hours. Granted, it's an NES game, and not all of them are long, but more stages could've been made. That's not to say it's bad, though. The gameplay is good. The graphics are great for an NES game, and the music is pretty catchy, especially the 8-bit rendition of the Tiny Toons theme song.

Overall, while it is too short, it still does a good job of being a solid title in Konami's NES library and lives up to the original source material. To some, it's as enjoyable as the original game. If you're a fan of the TV series or are looking for a decent sequel to the original on the NES, look no further.

For the record, I am so surprised that NO ONE reviewed this game. I guess it was my lucky day.
